Live Summer Festival spotlight: Nike South Beach
The Live Summer Festival is a great stage for college coaches to see some of the Southeast’s best teams lock horns with other high level teams. It is also a great stage for our staff to take a look at the recruitment of some of the top prospects in the region. Today we spotlight Nike South Beach.
Fionn Brown – A long and strong shooting guard, Brown’s game is to get to the rim. He’s got interest from Elon, Denver, and Troy so far.
Dwight Murray – 6’0” Pebblebrook High School point guard, Murray has a smooth shot from the outside and is quick to get by a defender. Southern Utah has already offered him. Western Kentucky, Georgia Tech, and Murray State are also interested.
Kevin Simon – West Orange High School PG Kevin Simon has bounce like you would not believe. The 6’3” slasher can rise up over defenders for dunks just as well as he can from three-point range. UNC Asheville, Stetson, and South Florida are all taking a look at him.
Mervin James – 6’6” James seems to glide on the court. The small forward’s size gives him incredible court vision and the ability to make plays in the open court. Florida Gulf Coast has extended an offer. Towson, Ole Miss, and Central Florida have shown interest.
