Live Summer Festival spotlight: Blake Hinson

The Blake Hinson and Nasir Little match-up was one of the best match-ups on the docket here at the Live Summer Fesitval. Two of the biggest and baddest dudes in the country locked horns and got after it on the hardwood.

Hinson spearheaded the win in front of a throng of coaches. The 6-foot-8 do-everything forward from South Florida bullied his way to the rim and battled for buckets.

Hinson said he hopes to make a decision soon, and maybe even as soon as the beginning of his junior year, on whether or not he will continue to play football now and into college.

Hinson said he’s hearing the most from Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Wichita State, Boston College, Clemson and Georgia Tech.

He has yet to take any visits to those schools, he said, but hopes to come fall.

‘I want to find a place that helps me with all the things outside of basketball,” Hinson said. “Can they help me in the weight room? Can they help me every else out?”

Assistant coaches from Duke, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Florida, Auburn, Miami, Ole Miss, Purdue, West Virginia and Kansas State were counted amongst the high-majors watching the action on Wednesday night.
