Georgia Cup Finals: Elementary School championships

11U CHAMPIONSHIP 

The Louisiana Hoyas made the nine-hour drive back to Donaldsonville, Louisiana with an extra passenger in their caravan. The 11U squad beat the Gwinnett Hawks for the championship 43-31. 

Jaydn Harris was outstanding the title game, blocking shots and scoring at will in the paint. Harris scored 15 points in the championship game. J. Mitchell scored nine points and a host of other Hoyas played a big part in their title run. 

The Gwinnett Hawks were led by AJ Pigford’s nine points but like all Gwinnett Hawks games, it was a total team effort. 

10U CHAMPIONSHIP 

The TNBC Select beat the Georgia Kings West 35-13 to win the 10U title of the Georgia Cup Finals.

Anthony Brantley from TNBC Select led all scorers with 8 points. Ty Harpring and Trace Gaynes finished with 7 points each. 

Cameron Westberry finished with a team-high 6 points for the Georgia Kings West. Jakorey West added 3 points, while Parker Evanson and Jordan Thibodeaux finished with 2 points each. - Clara Young 

9U CHAMPIONSHIP

The Georgia Kings beat Athens Outkast 40-35 in the 9U bracket of the Georgia Cup Finals.

Champ Simpson led the Georgia Kings with 14 points. Jakobi Casln contributed 12 points in the win.

Athens Outkast was led by Jerrin Samuel, who finished with 13 points. Kemarri Clark added 8 points in the game. - Clara Young
