Georgia Stars claim 15U #Gibbons title

15U Championship: Georgia Stars 73, Atlanta Celtics 62

The Georgia Stars were able to pull away from the Atlanta Celtics late in the second half to claim the 15U championship at #Gibbons by a score of 73-62.

The Stars used a balanced scoring attack in the victory. Breakout point guard K.D. Johnson set the tone early with his fearless mentality while attacking the rim. He made several trips to the free-throw line and led the way with 15 points.

Brandon Boston, one of the top prospects in Georgia’s 2020 class, also scored a smooth 22 points. He was named MVP of the championship game.

“Our team played well together all weekend and we came out on top,” Boston told HoopSeen.com following the game. “We had a great experience this weekend and beat some really good teams to get here.”

Chase Ellis had a productive game for the Atlanta Celtics. He scored a game-high 24 points and was a mismatch nightmare for the Stars around the rim. Dwon Odom and Walker Kessler also pitched in with 13 points each.
