Georgia Cup III High School Championships

17U Championship: Moneyball 69, South Georgia Hawks 61

Mookie Ezzard and Rome Emenalo pushed Moneyball past the South Georgia Hawks. The two Hapeville Charter Hornets took turns stinging the Tifton-based Hawks. Ezzard scored 15 points while Emenalo collected 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks from his wing position. Brandon Goldson balanced the attack with 12 points and seven rebounds. His quickness caused the Hawks’ backcourt problems, picking up five steals. Moneyball outscored the Hawks 25-10 in the second quarter to take the lead for good. In the loss, the Hawks got 21 points from Marquavius Johnson and 13 apiece from Nizarre Thompson and Montavious Terrell.


16U Orange Championship: Macon Bucks 66, Georgia Warriors 57

The Macon Bucks led wire to wire to claim the 16U Orange championship. Northeast-Macon High School’s Darius Dunn dumped in 25 points to lead the way, scoring seven in the fourth quarter to put the game on ice. The Georgia Warriors received a team-high 21 points from Caleb Hurst followed by Alex Hyatt’s 19.


16U Black Championship: Georgia Impact 71, Gametime Ballers Elite 47

The Georgia Impact’s stable of guards overwhelmed the Gametime Ballers. Impact jumped out to a 25-9 lead and held off Gametime’s runs throughout. Rashad Elloie poured in 24 points to pace the onslaught. Randon Elloie added 14 and Joshua Steele had 12. Rafael Robel led the Gametime Ballers with 19 points. Kylan Curry chipped in 15.


15U Championship: Georgia Achievers 78, Gametime Ballers 38

The Georgia Achievers were too much for the Gametime Ballers. A 20-7 second quarter gave the Achievers the separation they needed as they cruised into the half up 43-20 and continued to expand their lead in the second half. SeanDre Sledge pumped in a game-high 19 points for the Achievers. Lorenzo Elloie had 12 and Josiah Chappelle added eight. Eleven players scored for the Achievers. Walter Dixon led the Gametime Ballers with 14 points.
