12U Super Regional Championship: MC Warriors 47, Montgomery Fire 31
MC Warriors’ dynamic backcourt duo of Alex Odom and Darrin Thompson was too potent for the Montgomery Fire as the Warriors finally distanced themselves in the fourth quarter after carrying a 32-26 lead into the final frame. Thompson and Odom worked the two-man game on the perimeter sharing shots. Thompson nailed four three-pointers and finished with 20 points and 4 steals, scoring consistently throughout the game. Odom picked and chose his spots, scoring seven in the first quarter and nine in the fourth to polish off a 16-point performance. The two combined for 13 of their team’s 15 fourth quarter points. Odom tallied 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and 1 block from his complete game. The Fire were led by point guard Cedrickus Williams who scored 12 points and grabbed 3 steals. Big man JaDaris Lamar was held to 3 points but pulled down 15 rebounds and blocked two shots.
