Thunder Struck brings 15U #BOTS title home

The 15U Best of the South championship game was a highly anticipated matchup between the two best teams in the 15U division: Thunderstruck and D3 MOAM, both Florida based squads. And the matchup lived up to the hype.

The two teams traded baskets all game long, with a great guard matchup between Byron Smith of Thunderstruck and Cyrus Largie of D3 MOAM. Largie was great all game long. The 6-foot-3 strong bodied combo guard was a force throughout the contest.

However, his efforts were not enough to overcome a well-balanced, big, and athletic Thunderstruck squad. Smith was joined by 2020 big man Gervon Dexter down the stretch, making big plays and creating a narrow gap at the end of the game, and taking the 15U championship by a score of 69-63.

Byron Smith led Thunderstruck with 21 with Gervon Dexter adding 20 of his own. D3 MOAM was led by Cyrus Largie, who was fantastic all weekend with 23 points.

Lance Irving was named MVP for Thunderstruck. The Leesburg (FL) guard averaged double figures in points for the week and shot the ball very well from three.
