Georgia Cup III Championships: High School

17U championship: Champion’s Chance 69, Kingdom Elite 66

Whenever Champion’s Chance needed a bucket Tae Hardy delivered. The senior pumped in 27 points en route CC’s 69-66 win over Kingdom Elite to stake claim to the Georgia Cup III 17U championship.

The game pinned two of the top weekend scorers in the 17U division - Kadarius Harper of Kingdom Elite and Hardy of Champion’s Chance. The two are quite familiar with each other. Both play at Miller Grove.

Hardy put his Champion’s Chance team on his back in the second half, scoring at every level and attacking from end-to-end with his brilliant handles and speed. He was brilliant in the final. Harper never really found his zone in the title game but finished with 13 points in the game.

Greg Wilson scored 21 points for Kingdom Elite and led the team in scoring and Giles finished with 17 points. - Justin Young

16U Orange championship: AC Georgia 80, Warner Robins 64

AC Georgia is no strangers to winning titles at HoopSeen events. At the third Georgia Cup of 2016, their 16U team added another trophy to the case.

Led by guard Desmond Ellison, who was great all weekend, AC Georgia was able to knock off a gritty Warner Robins All Stars team 80-64 to take the 16U championship home.

Ellison led AC Georgia with 21 points while Jordan McIlwain added 15, Adrian Martin added 13, and Brandon Suggs pitched in with 12. Warner Robins All Stars were led by Arian Page who had 16 points. - Carter Wilson

16U black championship: Georgia Bulls 68, North Georgia Magic 55

The Georgia Bulls came to the Georgia Cup from Augusta and made some the field knew who they were with an impressive run through the tournament. The Bulls beat the North Georgia Magic 68-55 for the title.

The guard play of Ryan Jolly, Kalen Williams, Brad Hilley and Deon Berrien was great all weekend long. The quartet scored 56 of the team’s points in the title game.

The North Georgia Magic had 15 points from all-tourney selection Justin Quick in the final. — Justin Young

15U Orange championship: BCB 60, TNBC 58

The 15U Orange Bracket championship pitted two teams that are very familiar faces in HoopSeen events, TNBC and Blue Collar Basketball.

TNBC came out of the gates fast, playing with a ton of energy on both ends, starting the game on an 17-1 run. However, Blue Collar was able to weather the storm to settle in and get within 6 points just before the half.

The second half was more of Blue Collar holding their composure, playing disciplined, and remaining within striking distance, creating a closely fought finish and eventually putting the game into overtime.

The lead changed multiple times in the overtime period until Grant Reardon gave BCB the lead for good in the final seconds, winning the game 60-58. Blake McIntyre led BCB with 10 points while Jordan Krueger led TNBC with 13 points. - Carter Wilson

15U Black Championship: RCB 56, Atlanta Hoop Starz 2019 43

Christien West and Ryan Clements powered RCB past Atlanta Hoop Starz. West hit four three-pointers en route to a game-high 15 points and Clements added 13. Tajh Mullings pitched in eight points, all in the second half. The Hoop Starz received 13 points from Caleb Hurst and 10 from Jaiden Diamond. - Kyle Sandy
