SUWANEE, GA — Opening night of the 2016 HoopSeen Atlanta Jam was filled with college coaches, good action and plenty of things to discuss. We are looking for sleepers and seniors. These four guys jumped out to us on opening night. 

Unsigned senior Eric Lovett (pictured) will be a great late steal for a program looking for a guy that’s played in three straight state championship games, good grades and a knack for scoring. Lovett was great in his team’s opening win on Friday night for the Douglas Brothers Elite. Lovett shot very well (five three’s and 21 points). For programs still looking to add players late, the Jonesboro (GA) guard is worth a good look. 

One quick glance at the sidelines of the Taylored Athletes game and you saw a nice crowd of coaches that were there to see available big man Giovanni Fraser. The strong-bodied big man from Coral Springs, Florida said he will be taking an official visit to Evansville next weekend. The Purple Aces were in to see him play on Friday night. 

The Atlanta Jam is quickly proving to be one of the best stages for players to play their way into scholarship opportunities. Western Kentucky Elite big man Terry Taylor could be a player that emerges. The strong 6-foot-6 forward from Bowling Green mixed it up well inside against the Texas Tigers Gold in the nightcap and caught our eye with his size and strength. The class of 2017 power forward will get another look by our HoopSeen staff this weekend. 

Peyton Stovall of Alabama’s BBA Kings started the Atlanta Jam off strong. The Alabama Elite Preview camper shot and scored well in a come-from-behind win on opening night. The class of 2017 point guard does all of the things guards are supposed to do. Moreover, he helped his squad pick up a win in front of the right people. Nice player for the Division II level and worth a good look by the Atlantic Sun schools at the Atlanta Jam.
