4TH QUARTER SURGE FOR NETS
The Atlanta Nets used a furious fourth quarter comeback to stun EOTO 2023, 42-41. The Nets outscored EOTO 19 to 8 to complete the rally. Cole Nash poured in nine of his team-high 11 points to power the Nets. Elijah Davis scored 11 points in the loss.
SYNERGISTIC WIN IN 10U
Atlanta Select Synergy won the 10U championship in convincing fashion with a 53-9 win over Hoops360 Blackwell. Dontae Potts-Heard lead the way with 10 points. Lawson and Tillman both scored eight points in the title game.
GWINNETT HAWKS FLY TO 9U TITLE
In a rematch of their 36-29 Pool Play victory over East Point Runnin Rebels Orange, the Gwinnett Hawks used overtime to survive the Rebels 35-32. Gwinnett led 17-9 at the half and looked like it was going to race away with the title but the Rebels fought back. It took a hoop at the buzzer to end regulation for the Hawks to force overtime. In the extra period Jalen Glover and Amir Taylor made the plays necessary to hoist the trophy. The two combined to score all four points in overtime for the Hawks. Glover led all scorers with 14 and Taylor added seven in the victory. Free throws haunted the Rebels as they shot 4-of-21 on the day.
