Atlanta JUCO Jam Top Performers Pt. 1

Our Atlanta JUCO Jam brought a ton of college coaches into the building to see Junior College prospects from around the country. Our HoopSeen team along with The Welchy Report will be rolling out a series of Top Performers from the event. Here's Part One of what we saw in the gym:

6'6" Caleb Cameron - Indian River CC: The Wilson Academy product Caleb Cameron came into the day at Suwanee Sports Academy regarded as one of the top prospects in Junior College Basketball and put on a show the cemented that claim. The Fab 50 honoree used his next-level athleticism to take over games and showed the college coaches in attendance why he needs to be a priority to their program.

Cameron is a 6'6" Wing that gets downhill with ease. He finishes with both hands above the rim and makes defenders pay for being late on rotations. MM/LM+ D1coaches need to check his game out.

Roosevelt Brown

6'4" Roosevelt Brown - Central Georgia Technical College: The GCAA Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American showed why his honors have been stacking up at the Junior College level. The Augusta-product out of Butler High School came into Suwanee Sports Academy and made a statement.

Brown was scoring from anywhere on the floor but what was most impressive about his day was his ability to defend. His defensive versatility was on full display as he went up against smaller PG's all the way up to some of the multiple 7-footers that were in the event. His game appears to be ready for an immediate impact at whatever program he ends up at. He's taken multiple visits to D1 programs and his performance in the Atlanta JUCO Jam should expand his interests.

7'0" Tamiel Green - Indian River CC: Just hours before the event, Tamiel Green announced his commitment to D1 Northern Arizona of the Big Sky Conference. With NAU Coaches in attendance, they must be excited about who they have coming to campus in the fall by his performance on the day.

Green is a sturdy 7'0" Center who displays a ton of skill and versatility in his offensive array. Coming off a 2nd Team All-Conference season in the GCAA, Green has continued to expand his game since we saw him on the HoopSeen circuit just a few years ago.

Cameron Stephen

6'3" Cameron Stephen - Dyersburg CC: The former HoopSeen 1st Team All-HSA honoree was back to his old ways inside the walls of Suwanee Sports Academy. Cameron used his elite playmaking skills to set the table for his squad to walk away with many coaches talking about the player he continues to develop into.

He drew extra defenders and found open teammates, he competed on the defensive end, & showed off some tough shotmaking and ability to finish at the rim. Stephen looks to continue being a name coaches should have on their radars.

Jalexs Ewing

6'4" Jalexs Ewing - South Georgia Technical College: Jalexs came into the Atlanta JUCO Jam highly regarded after a 1st Team All-Conference season in the GCAA. The 6'4" CG is a prospect that many of the coaches in attendance have already offered as he holds multiple offers in MEAC/SWAC conferences.

Ewing showcased his athleticism and threw down a couple of thunderous dunks that lit the gym up each time. In his 3rd & final game of the day, while some might show fatigue - Ewing began to step up even more. His ability to finish at the rim through contact is impressive and the way he competes on the defensive end is to be noted. Look for Ewing to make an impact with whatever program he ends up with.
