Best We Saw...
2028 Bentley Lusakueno - Woodward Academy: Not only is Lusakueno considered one of the top prospects in Georgia, he's considered one of the top guys across the country & in a win over Chamblee he showed a lot of the tools that has coaches excited for his future. Pouring in a game-high 26p he also showed an elite ability to block and alter shots on the defensive end using his frame and wingspan. His body looks to be developing and growing stronger and the results are paying off on the court. Look for Bentley's name to continue growing as a prospect over the rest of his HS career.
2028 Myles Hayes - Woodward Academy: At Woodward, they have a 3-headed monster between Lusakueno & Myles/Jarvis Hayes who are all rated as 5-star prospects on national scouting services. In a win over Chamblee, Myles showed off a lot of the reasons why they're such a touch matchup for any team in Georgia. Relentless defensive effort and a motor that continues to run throughout the game forcing multiple turnovers. Fought hard on the glass & pushed the pace in transition to tire out the opposing Chamblee Bulldogs. Finished with 25p in the W.
2027 Asa Montgomery - Hillgrove: Dominance in a win over Pebblebrook. In the time we've been watching Asa Montgomery, he has shown flashes of brilliance that can be developed on at the next level and potentially beyond. In the W, he finished with 32p and scored in a multitude of ways in the paint, off the bounce, & above the rim. Montgomery's name is already well-known in recruiting circles around Georgia and these types of performances will only continue to boost his stock as a prospect.
2026 Emmanuel Alofe - McEachern: Emmanuel Alofe continues to prove he’s one of the top available players in Georgia. The 6’7 two-way wing finished with 20 points, knocking down three triples and scoring within the flow of the offense. His ability to defend at a high level, guard multiple positions, and consistently stretch the floor adds real value on both ends of the floor. Alofe impacts the game without needing the ball, plays with great effort, and brings a strong two-way presence that makes him a highly attractive prospect for a wide range of next-level programs. - Mekhi McKinney
2027 Preston Liston - Lassiter: Preston Liston led the way with a stellar performance in Lassiter’s win, finishing with 25 points and five made threes. He made big shot after big shot, staying shot-ready at all times and he had a good understanding of spacing. Beyond the scoring, Liston impacted the game with all the little winning plays, consistently making the right reads and playing within the flow. His skill level and feel for the game stood out and he looked every bit like a scholarship-level player. - Mekhi McKinney
2026 Daniel Hollis - Peachtree Ridge: Hollis has been known to be one of the more electrifying players in Georgia and he did it again in a Region win over Berkmar. Finishing with 20p 9r, he took over in the 2nd half to lead Ridge to the victory down the stretch. He impacts the game with his aggression and eye-popping athleticism that led to multiple put-back & transition dunks. On the glass, he dominated on both the offensive and defensive side to create extra possessions for his Lions team.
2026 Addison Dyer - Langston Hughes (Lander-commit): Addison Dyer was strong for Langston despite the loss, putting together an impressive performance from start to finish. The crafty, skilled guard consistently got to his spots, showed great feel for the game, and flashed his ability as a gifted passer. He finished with 17 points, but his overall impact went beyond the box score. It was a fun watch seeing Dyer operate this weekend, as his game clearly translates to the next level. He looks like a perfect fit at Lander next year with his playmaking ability, and his scoring instincts only add to his value. 2027 Tre Keith - Tri-Cities: Keith is one of the elite guards in a loaded 2027 class here in Georgia. Friday night, he helped lead Tri-Cities in a big win over a red-hot Decatur team that had not lost since 2025. The 6'3" Junior Guard scored 26 points in the W while showing off his elite finishing capabilities. Great athleticism and can finish above the rim in a hurry. Holds offers from multiple HM programs already and will be one the hottest names on the circuit this upcoming summer.
Future NCAA Standouts:
Tatum Holmes - John's Creek (North Georgia-commit): Even in a loss to Gainesville in one of the state's most anticipated region matchups, Tatum Holmes shined bright. Finishing with 33p in the loss, he turned flamethrower in clutch time as he went for 15p on consecutive possessions to try and power John's Creek over #1 Gainesville. North Georgia really got themselves a high-level prospect who should be able to compete in the Peach Belt early into his collegiate career.
Will Dopfer - Lambert (Longwood-commit): We've become accustomed to Will Dopfer having dominant high school performances and in a win over South Forsyth he did not disappoint. After a slow start, Dopfer put together a great 2nd half to finish with over 20p. The Longwood-commit used his size to create advantages against smaller defenders and used his physicality to dominate the glass. Blocked multiple shots and made it clear he was the best player on the floor in the W.
Zyree Brown - Pebblebrook (Kennesaw State-commit): Put together a big performance in a double-digit win over region rival McEachern. Steady guard who has complete control of the offense with the ball in his hands. Great motor that allows him to outplay defenders bigger than him on a consistent basis, a true personification of the old saying "heart over height". Had 23p in the W.
Devin Hutcherson - Holy Innocents (Belmont-commit): Devin Hutcherson led the way for HIES with 24 points in the win, continuing his stellar senior season with another big-time performance on a big stage. He also pulled down 13 rebounds, dominating the glass from the guard spot with his physicality and effort. Hutcherson is an aggressive downhill driver who consistently puts pressure on the defense, while mixing in smooth pull-ups and knocking down the three to keep defenders honest. Week in and week out, he’s showing he’s more than ready for his freshman season at Belmont. - Mekhi McKinney
Tobias Brinkley - Decatur (Tulane-commit): Finished with 25p in a tight-battle with Tri-Cities Friday night. Showed off his complete skillset and is an ultimate competitor. Shot the 3 at a high level & attacked the rim with ease. One of the leaders on a Decatur team that should be right in the mix of things in the GHSA State Playoffs in AAAAA.
Hayden Clay - Pace Academy (Georgia Southern-commit): Hayden Clay, a Georgia Southern commit, was equally impactful, bringing physicality and activity on the boards at 6’9. Clay finished plays efficiently around the rim, ran the floor hard, and made his presence felt with his ability to protect the paint and change shots defensively. On the offensive end, he showed the ability to space the floor and play within the flow, making him a tough matchup and a key piece in Pace’s control of the interior. - Mekhi McKinney
Jake Agolli - Pace Academy (Tufts-commit): Jake Agolli was a major factor in Pace’s win over Lovett, using his 6’10 frame to dominate the glass and consistently create second-chance opportunities. He finished with good touch around the basket and was effective playing through contact, giving Pace reliable interior scoring. Defensively, Agolli patrolled the paint well, altering shots and using his size to make it difficult for opponents to finish inside, while also doing enough offensively to keep the floor balanced. - Mekhi McKinney
Senior Standouts:
Khalid Worthy - Holy Innocents': Khalid Worthy was the X-factor for HIES as they walked away with the win over KIPP, impacting the game in ways that went beyond the box score. His nonstop activity on both ends of the floor—especially on the glass and as a rim protector, played a major role in swinging the momentum in HIES’ favor. Worthy knocked down a couple of mid-range jumpers to keep the defense honest, but he made his biggest impact by consistently generating and cashing in on second-chance opportunities, giving HIES a steady edge throughout the night. - Mekhi McKinney
Khalil Sylla - Hillgrove: Sylla made his presence felt in a 23pt win over Pebblebrook this past week. With 2 high-profile players alongside him, it was Sylla who was running the offense and setting his teammates up with multiple assists. Solid Unsigned PG prospect that can run the show alongside talented players and set them up for success.
Jaydon Avery - Pace Academy: Jaydon Avery was steady all game for Pace, doing an excellent job controlling the tempo and playing efficiently within the flow of the offense. He finished with 13 points and 5 assists, consistently making the right reads and keeping his teammates involved. Avery is also a two-sport athlete who recently picked up football offers from Yale, Dartmouth, and Penn over the last month. - Mekhi Mckinney
Ryan McCord - Chamblee: High-volume scorer who connected for 8 3's in a loss to Woodward Academy. McCord has powered this Chamblee for a few seasons now with his high-level scoring ability & shoots it at a better % than most anyone in the state at 40+% at the time of this article. Unsigned senior who can shoot with the best of them that is worth a look.
Harrison Minich - Lassiter: Harrison Minich stuffed the stat sheet early and was a key spark behind the first-half momentum, impacting the game in multiple areas. His length, activity, and instincts at the guard spot caused consistent problems defensively, as he disrupted passing lanes, applied pressure, and set the tone on that end. Minich’s all-around presence helped fuel the early run and gave his team an edge from the opening tip. - Mekhi Mckinney
Will Griffis - Lassiter: Will Griffis played a key role as a playmaking center, consistently setting solid screens, making smart reads in the two-man game, and finding teammates for clean, high-quality looks. His feel for the game helped keep the offense flowing, while his presence was also felt defensively around the rim, where he provided size, positioning, and timely contests to anchor the interior. - Mekhi Mckinney
James Romano - Camden County: An unsigned senior forward to track from Coastal Georgia. Had great feel inside the paint and showed he can stretch his shooting out to mid-range. Even though his minutes were limited due to foul trouble, he played a big role in his minutes in a win at Valdosta. Very effective player that should get a look for coaches looking for Unsigned guys during the spring.
Duan Day - Peachtree Ridge: In a region win over Berkmar, Day set the tone early for Peachtree Ridge in the first half scoring the ball. A consistent driver, he finished well at the rim with contact and finished the game with 12p. He has a great build for his age and looks ready physically to compete with collegiate aged players at the next level.
Frank Jackson - Jonesboro (Charleston Southern football-commit): A dual-sport athlete committed to Charleston Southern as a wide receiver, Jackson’s motor and physicality clearly translate to the hardwood. His size, strength, and relentlessness made him a tough cover all night, as defenders struggled to keep him out of the paint or slow him down in transition. Jackson keep his foot on the gas all evening en route to 27 points and a Jonesboro win. - Mekhi McKinney
Jay Walsh - Marist: Great hustle player that gives the extra effort on every play. Finished with 21p in a W over North Springs. Attacks the glass, scores at a high-level & makes good decisions with the ball. Unsigned senior who played with the Atlanta Allstars this past travel season.
Chol Kiir - Calvary Day: Had 12p 8r 2b in a win over region opponent Jenkins. A high-ceiling prospect that Junior College programs should be looking at for an opportunity to develop his game. Great size & developing skill that can be built upon to create a successful collegiate basketball player.
Ryder Grinnell - Lambert: Grinnell was a force on the glass for Lambert in a win over South Forsyth this weekend. The Dean-commit fought on every possession for boards and came down with 15 of them by our count to go along with 11p 2a 2s. Undersized Forward who fights to create extra opportunities for a Lambert team that looks to compete for a region title.
Junior Standouts:
Tyler Barnes - Peachtree Ridge: Smart player who was a real spark-plug for Peachtree Ridge in their win over Berkmar. Finishing with 23p, he hit 5 3's to space the floor for the Lions and seemed to always be the guy to hit a shot as the shot-clock would expire. Has been a name we've tracked for a while in Gwinnett & his game continues to develop as he gets older.
Zachary Graves - McEachern: Zachary Graves did a great job facilitating and directing traffic for McEachern, consistently keeping the offense organized and flowing. His ability to get into the paint, collapse the defense, and find teammates for quality looks really opened things up, his quickness, change of pace, and physicality made him very tough for defenses to keep him from getting where he wanted. - Mekhi Mckinney
Akil Robinson - KIPP Atlanta: High-energy guard that was instrumental in KIPP's win over Lovett on Tuesday. He shot the ball well from deep & was deadly from the free throw line. Displayed a high level of athleticism on multiple dunks throughout the game. He followed that performance up with another big one against Holy Innocents' & is showing consistency in his effort & scoring ability from multiple levels. Prospect that deserves more attention in the city.
Cameron Cannon - Lovett: Cameron Cannon was absolutely stellar in the first half, accounting for 20 of Lovett’s 27 points at the break and knocking down 5-of-8 from three, repeatedly making tough, contested shots to keep Lovett within striking distance. It was one of the better first-half performances I’ve seen all year, as his shot creation and shot-making ability were truly special. Cannon finished the game with 25 points, and his ability to generate offense under pressure was the driving force behind Lovett’s attack. - Mekhi Mckinney
Jamin Martin - Calvary Day: Martin had a great shooting day in a region win over Jenkins as he hit 6 3pt FG's on his way to 18p. A coach's son who knows how to play without the basketball - moves well and can create opportunities for others while hitting shots at high level when left open.
Jayden Harris - South Forsyth: After a slow start against Lambert, Harris exploded in the 2nd half to help try and will South Forsyth to a victory. Great defensive effort with multiple steals and versatile as a defender to guard both in the front court & perimeter. Hit 3 3's in the 2nd half in the effort but fell short in the end. Solid stretch-forward over at South Forsyth.
Micah Reed - Camden County: New name for our team here at HoopSeen that really impressed in a win over Valdosta as he led Camden County with 14p. Great positional size & a strong build that coaches will want to track as he heads into his 17u summer. Great athlete that moves fluidly and attacks the rim strong. Along with his athleticism, he showed off great shooting from the outside. Name to know down on the Georgia Coast.
Shawn Evans - Valdosta: In a battle against Camden County, Evans shined as he led Valdosta with 15p. Going downhill, Shawn Evans is a serious threat. Whether it's a floater over 2 defenders or finishing through contact at the rim - he showed an ability to get the ball in the bucket. A 2027 to watch for in South Georgia.
Jake Reid - Valdosta: Known for his high-level shooting, he showed more of a complete game in a loss to Camden County. He finished well at the rim through contact multiple times & showed a ton of toughness both on the offensive glass & on the defensive side of the ball. Finished with 12p.
Kaleb Johnson - Valdosta: A double-double machine. Johnson kept attacking the rim hard which got him to the FT line for a ton of opportunities. Tough, physical rebounder who makes a living on the glass. At 6'8" he moves extremely well & can guard smaller guards on the perimeter with his lateral movement. Plays tall defensively from the help-side & altered multiple shots. Look for Kaleb to become a household name in Georgia over the next year.
Underclassmen Standouts:
2028 Bryson Jatta - Hillgrove: Scored 18p in a big win over Pebblebrook. 2028 prospect showed his ability to score off the bounce often in the win. Got to the FT line often and was physical around the rim. Has a smooth release on his jump shot and his game is developed beyond his year. Major 2028 prospect to follow moving forward.
2028 Bobby Harpring - Marist: Young guard that finished with 18p in a win over North Springs on Thursday night. True PG that sees the floor well & set his teammates up for success. After a scoring outburst of 12p in Q1, Harpring focused on setting his teammates up for the rest of the game racking up an array of assists. One of the top 2028 PG's in GA.
2028 Calvin Goss - Jonesboro: Calvin Goss was solid throughout, consistently making the right reads off his drives and playing with good pace and control. He finished with an efficient 13 points, showcasing his ability to get downhill, score within the flow of the offense, and keep the defense honest with his range. Goss gave Jonesboro another reliable playmaker in the backcourt, adding balance and versatility to their attack. We’ve seen Goss get hot, but it was also good to see him be steady in the flow of the offense. - Mekhi Mckinney
2028 Jaden McCullough - Holy Innocents: Jaden McCollough found his rhythm in the second half, scoring 16 of his 17 points after the break to help Holy Innocents flip the script with a win over KIPP after an earlier region loss. He showed strong shot creation but really made his impact at the free-throw line, playing in full attack mode. McCollough consistently put pressure on defenders, got downhill, and drew fouls, providing a steady offensive spark that helped Holy Innocents close the game out. - Mekhi McKinney
2028 Tenaje Freeman - Jonesboro: Tenaje Freeman anchored the defense and was a constant presence on the glass for Jonesboro, using his activity, length, and athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the floor. The 2028 prospectshowed why his upside is so intriguing, especially defensively, where he protected the paint, contested shots, and consistently finished possessions on the boards. Offensively, he served as a reliable dump-off option for the guards, added 11 points, and was effective around the rim as a lob threat and drop-off finisher. While his offensive game can continue to develop, Freeman already provides strong interior value and projects as a high-impact defender moving forward. - Mekhi McKinney
2029 Alvin Pettway Jr. - McEachern: Alvin Pettway Jr. was a force on the glass all night, consistently carving out space and winning battles in the paint. His activity and physicality led to multiple second-chance opportunities, giving his team extra possessions when it mattered most. Pettway also showed strong touch and toughness around the rim, finishing through contact and making his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Pettway Jr continues to show why he’s one of the best bigs in the 2029 class. - Mekhi McKinney
