The Florida Focus: Tournament Edition

The NCAA tournament will conclude tonight with the UConn Huskies taking on the San Diego State Aztecs. Connecticut has dominated in the postseason by winning all five games by double-figures, including a 13-point victory over Miami in the national semifinal. The Aztecs have one each of their last two games by a combined three points, including a buzzer beating jumper by Lamont Butler in the national semifinal over Florida Atlantic.

Michael Costeines is a regional scout based in South Florida. He has been covering both men's and women's basketball in the area since November 2018. Players he has scouted include Scottie Barnes, Zaire Wade, Vernon Carey Jr., Jordana Codio, and Ta'Niya Latson. Michael has previously worked for Prep Hoops and NBC Sports in Stamford, Connecticut. He is originally from Madison (CT) and received his bachelors degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
