HoopSeen Association Recruiting Update: Kohl Ward

It's the time of the year where some of our prospects on our HoopSeen Association take a leap with their recruitment. College coaches will be out in June and see these same prospects with their high school program. Every year we have some guys that come back to us in July with offers from their play in June. I think Tennessee Tigers guard Kohl Ward could be a guy from the class of 2027 that garners this attention. He is fresh off making a Top Performer list at our HoopSeen Atlanta Jam. Here is what we wrote a few weeks ago.

"Every weekend I am drawn to Ward’s game and seeing his improvement over the course of the travel season. This weekend at the Atlanta Jam was much of the same story. He affects the game in a lot of different ways.

Whether it's on the offensive side with him making drives to the lane and finishing or the opposite side where he is an in-your-face defender. He is a big cog in the way the Tennessee Tigers play and how they succeed throughout any given weekend. The 6-foot-2 guard had one of the best motors we saw on the weekend." - Justin Byerly

We caught up with the rising senior at Tyner Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He tells us that he is hearing from LeMonye, Alabama Huntsville, VMI, Trevecca, ULM, North Georgia, Kentucky Christian, Molloy, Georgia Gwinnett, Southern Arkansas University Tech, Sussex Community College, Transylvania, Williams College and Mars Hill.

Ward tells us that he has taken visits to MVSU and Lees McRae (last year) and has not taken any visits this year.

The Tennessee Tiger's program led by Head Coach Chip Smith have been solid so far this travel season and Ward had this to say about the travel season so far, "We started off slow because of the newness and no chemistry. However, things have really picked up. In terms of togetherness, understanding the system, and being intentional about every possession."
