Top Florida Guard Marvel Allen Updates His Recruitment

Marvel Allen was outstanding with Each 1 Teach 1 during our historic Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions a few weeks ago at Suwanee Sports Academy. The 6-foot-4 guard prospect out of Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida broke down who has offered and what schools are showing interest with HoopSeen.

He currently holds offers from South Florida, Virginia Tech, LSU, Stanford and Illinois. He has been been hearing a long list of the nation's top programs, including Georgia, Ohio State, UCF, FAU, Miami, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Samford, Missouri, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Memphis and Baylor. Of those programs, Baylor, Florida and Memphis have been the most recent.

The class of 2023 prospect still has another season before he will trim his list and start making visits but he tells HoopSeen, I'm looking forward to having a good relationship with the head coach and staff, and seeing how I fit in the system, and be comfortable and efficient."

With the news of the new Overtime League, "All options are open, college or pro route."

One of the most athletic guards in the country, Allen's go-to move is his "between hesitation, if the defender comes up, I blow by, if they don't come up I pull it."

Allen will be teaming up with Team Florida guard Carl Cherenfant again this season at Calvary Christian as they go for another state title. This time, Brenen Lorient will join the even more stacked program in South Florida.
