HoopSeen Summer Finale : 17U Top Performers

The HoopSeen Summer Finale was this past weekend at Suwanee Sports Academy and we had a number of college coaches in the building for the final live period. This was our last event of the year for travel programs and we went out with a bang. Our staff sifted through the best prospects we all saw over the course of the event and here is our Top Performers from the HoopSeen Summer Finale.

Enzo Wea, Norcross Heat - Enzo Wea has steadily improved his game throughout the spring and summer with Norcross Heat, but over the past two weekends, he’s taken a noticeable leap forward. Standing at 6’8, Wea’s ability to step out and knock down shots, attack defenders off the dribble, and create plays has elevated his impact on the floor. His continued growth, both physically and skill-wise, has raised his ceiling, and it’s clear he’s just scratching the surface of his potential. - Mekhi Mckinney

William Robinson, Upward Stars Gold - 6-foot-8 and 230 pounds, Robinson is built for the college game. His grandad played at Cincinnati and then in the NBA, his brother, Anthony Robinson plays at Xavier. The youngest Robinson had a Top Performer showing this past weekend at our HoopSeen Finale. He is a physical presence in the paint and he thrives at rebounding and blocking shots on the defensive end. On offense, he is a guy that is going to score around the rim but can step out and make some mid-range shots. His older brother Anthony took a little longer to develop his offensive repertoire before heading to Virginia and William looks like he has a lot of the same similarities. - Justin Byerly

Grant Smith, We Play Basketball– Grant Smith is no stranger to the Top Performer list, and he earned another spot this weekend. The 6’6 wing is shaping up to be a hot commodity by this time next year. He can put the ball on the floor and is at his best when attacking downhill. Smith impacts the game in a variety of ways, and the 2027 wing more than held his own on our stage. I’m excited to see what’s next for him. - Mekhi McKinney

Lawson Gillispie, Shockers 2026- Gillispie is a bonafide next-level prospect, a true Swiss Army knife who can fill just about any role on the floor. With the depth and unselfishness of this talented Shockers 2026 squad, Gillispie seamlessly adapted to whatever the team needed. He ran the offense when called upon, spaced the floor as a shooter, made athletic plays above the rim, and consistently made smart, winning decisions. But what truly sets him apart is his defensive presence. Gillispie’s energy on that end was contagious, sparking momentum for the entire team. A program looking for a versatile, high-motor player will find a gem in Gillispie. -Mekhi McKinney

Jackson McCutcheon, Shockers - You can’t teach it. You are born with it. Some guys just have that prefect follow through and you have a feeling when looking at it that it is going to go in. Jackson McCutcheon has that. He is one of those guys that you can’t let him have an open look. Chances are he is going to make it, and make a lot of them. He has good size at the guard spot, understands how to get the open shot and he knows how to bury it. This Shockers team is fun to watch and for good reason, they won the East side of the Gold circuit for Adidas 3SSB. The all-district guard will be a guy to watch during his senior season in Tennessee. - Justin Byerly
