2025 Atlanta Jam: Day 2 Notebook from Mekhi McKinney

The baselines at Suwanee Sports Academy had college coaches for Saturday at The Atlanta Jam up and down the courts. Prospects from all over the Southeast had the chance to play in front of Division I and a plethora of Division II, III and NAIA coaches from around the region. Below is what caught our eye during the first live period of the 2025 cycle.

Cutter Sisk did what he always does in his first day of action here at Atlanta Jam—he DOMINATED. College coaches in the building walked away knowing Sisk is exactly what he’s been advertised to be over the past few years. He opened with a 26-point double-double in a sudden death win over Team Gold Coast, then followed it up with a 16-point performance in another tough battle to help the Tennessee Tigers go 2-0 on the day.

Jamarcus Harrison Turns Heads

This was my first impression of Jamarcus Harrison—and he impressed. The 6’4” two-sport athlete is already a D1 prospect on the football field with multiple offers, but this weekend he stood out on the hardwood. Harrison is a lead guard with great size who thrives in transition and attacking downhill. His shooting was also on full display, with multiple 20-point games that included 4+ threes. His ability to get to the rim and stop on a dime for pull-ups made it tough for defenders to stay in front of him.

Mekhi Barber Does It All

Mekhi Barber has been consistent with us all spring, and he’s putting together a strong showing here at Atlanta Jam. He’s showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor—knocking down shots, blocking shots off the glass, and making next-level passes to set up teammates for open looks. Barber is a big guard I expect to see an uptick in recruitment soon.

Dalton Black: Scorer’s Mentality

Dalton Black is a pure scorer who gets straight to it. He dropped 25 points in his first game here at Atlanta Jam, then followed it up with 26 more—18 of those coming in the first half. Black is a silky-smooth guard with a quick trigger and the confidence to hit tough shots. Any coach looking to get a head start on recruiting should definitely give Dalton a look.

Galen Roberts Breaking Out

Galen Roberts is a prospect we saw last year at Best of the South in the 15U division, and we knew then he’d be one of the special ones. Roberts is a 6’8” guard/forward who plays above the rim, has a guard’s handle, and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He’s a D1-level talent that’s still under the radar—but not for long.
