2025 Atlanta Jam: 16U Top Performers, Part I
SUWANEE, GA - The NCAA Live Period lives in the Peach State and the 2025 edition of the Atlanta Jam unveiled a number of players worthy of a deep dive on the recruiting front. Our staff rolls out part I of our top overall performers from the 16-and-under division.
Lester Allen, Hoops United (Allen) - Lester Allen had himself a weekend at Atlanta Jam! He’s a true microwave scorer who sets the tone for this Hoops United group with his pace and ability to create instant offense for both himself and his teammates. Allen went off for 34 points in a win over Mighty Titans 2027 and followed it up with a couple more standout performances throughout the weekend. - Mekhi McKinney
Dalton Black, Refuse 2 Lose #5 - Dalton Black was locked in all weekend at Atlanta Jam. He set the tone early with 25 points in his opener, then followed up with a 26-point outing—lighting it up for 18 in the first half alone. He capped things off with 18 more in their final game, playing a key role in Refuse 2 Lose finishing 3-1. With his smooth handle, quick release, and fearless shot-making, Black made it clear he’s a name coaches need to remember. - Mekhi McKinney
Kobi Jackson, Tennessee Tigers - Kobi Jackson has been one of my favorite players to watch this spring because of the energy and fire he brings every time he steps on the floor. He plays the game like there’s no defender in front of him. His tough shot-making, change of pace, and ability to get to the rim and finish in a variety of ways are what truly set him apart. It’s always a show when Jackson is on the court, and I’m excited to see him close out the travel season on a high note in July. - Mekhi McKinney
Galen Roberts, Team 404 #11- Galen Roberts continues to prove he’s a name to know. The 6’8” guard/forward hit a clutch game-winner against North Metro Elite, sealing the win and leading his team to a perfect 4-0 weekend. Roberts brings rare versatility—he plays above the rim, has a smooth handle for his size, and isn’t afraid to mix it up inside. With his skill set and physical tools, his ceiling is sky high. He’s a D1-level talent who won’t be under the radar much longer. - Mekhi McKinney
Ayden Meadows, Pro One Academic - The athletic 6-foot-1 guard from Hendersonville, Tennessee keeps up his strong play for this travel season. He was named to the Bama Jam Top Performers list and now makes it another one with Atlanta Jam. Meadows has scoring ability from all over the floor and it's his defensive ability that really caught my eye. As Garrett Tucker mentioned in his write up for Bama Jam, I too feel like Meadows looks the part of a Division I prospect on down the road. - Justin Byerly
