Atlanta Jam Top Performers: 16U, part II
SUWANEE, GA - The NCAA Live Period lives in the Peach State and the 2024 edition of the Atlanta Jam unveiled a number of players worthy of a deep dive on the recruiting front. Our staff rolls out part II of our top overall performers from the 16 and under division.
Day has typically played up in the 17U division this year in our events, and he has always been one of the better players on the court in each game. This weekend, he's in the 16U division, and it seemed as if opposing guards had no answer for his quickness and craftiness with the ball. For a smaller guard, he has everything you would want, as he is able to finish around taller defenders and make tough shots on the perimeter. The backcourt duo of him and Jason Welborn is a fun one to watch! - Mekhi Mckinney
AJ Ambrose showed great poise and pace running the point for Florida Pro 2026. Ambrose utilized his floater and a variety of finishes to score around the basket. His ability to consistently get paint touches and collapse the defense made the game easier for his teammates. He finished with a team-high 18 points and demonstrated some next-level reads in the open court. - Mekhi Mckinney
Tyshaun Poore knows how to dominate the game without dominating the ball. Whether he is jumping passing lanes, slicing through the defense, or creating his own jumpshot, Poore is able to make his presence felt on every facet of the game. His lateral quickness and handle allow him to manipulate the defense almost at will, generating good looks for himself and his teammates. Poore was absolutely one of the standout players in the 16U division, leading Club 51 to a 4-0 record, easily beating each team they faced. I can’t wait to see how Poore’s stock progresses in the future. - Jack Daigle
