2023 Elite Preview: Team 2 Evaluations

SUWANEE, Ga.—When we reflect on this camp years from now, we’ll think about the bigs we had in the building.

Team two had two of the more memorable forwards and plenty of other talented players around them.

Tommy Vento

Vento certainly served his role on the team and found a niche that helped his squad out. He showed throughout the drill sessions that he can knock down shots, and when it came time for games, he served as a good spot-up threat for this team.

Reynolds is a 2027 that flashed bright spots on Sunday. He made some shots from deep range and proved to be a good ball-handler. He has a good understanding of the game and how to run a team.

Tray Bowleg

Another 2027 guard, Bowleg was quick and defended well. He gets to where he needs to go on either end with good pace, and he had pesky moments guarding the ball.

Fortune Hicks

Hicks continues to make a name for himself on different HoopSeen platforms. He’s a young name to know from out of the Atlanta metro. We’ve seen his ability to make plays for himself and others with the ball, and he showed some more of that on Sunday. Another thing he did well was shoot the ball in drills. He had some hot moments with his jumper, and it looks like it could become a tool in his arsenal with more reps.

Anthony LoPresti

Kennesaw, GA

LoPresti is a bigger guard who can do a little bit of everything well. He impacts the game across the board and has a good IQ. He was one of the better two-way players on his team. Offensively, he plays either guard spot well and makes the right play more often than not. On the other end, he’s a smart defender that doesn’t get beat often. He knows where and when to be on defense.

Byrd was one of the youngest players in the building, but he was a promising prospect nonetheless. The 2028 guard/wing has big potential. His shot looked good, and he showed that he can score from all over the floor in stretches. Byrd has a good foundational IQ, and impacted the game in multiple ways. His rebounding from the perimeter was notable as well.
