Eli Stubbs must have had some good coffee this morning because he was feelin’ it this morning when he dropped 14 points in a win for OFW Galaxy in the 16U division.

Stubbs had it going from behind the 3-point line early with four-made from beyond the arc.

In a pretty stacked time slot, I was bouncing around courts trying to intake as much as I could. Drinking from the fire hose doesn’t always work, but in this case I was able to get some good notes.

The Tennessee Tigers 16U squad had no trouble in their game. This is a group with a lot of potential. They have size and length across the board.

Caiden Bauldwin has so much upside as a defender and slasher. He’s long and can disrupt passing lanes. We’ve come to admire the Tigers for being a defensive program, and Bauldwin fits in well with Chip Smith’s system. He’s a strong finisher at the rim. He has a projectable frame and plenty to work with. As the season progresses, he could be someone we talk about plenty more. He had 12 points in the win.
Point guard Rodney Henderson led the Tigers with 13 points. He’s a shifty PG with a good feel for the game on both ends.

On court 10, Pro One picked up a great win over a good OTP team.

Simon Walker made his case for top overall performer of the weekend with a monster 30-point game. He’s a lights-out shooter and netted five from deep in the win, and he showed plenty in terms of being a playmaker. Walker is playing up an age group and doesn’t at all look out of place in terms of strength and athleticism.

Walker is going to be a popular name among coaches this spring and in the future.

Ty Davis backed up Walker with 20 points. He’s one of the hotter prospects in the south with quality mid major offers and high major interest. Davis is a shotmaker from all levels, and he’s got outstanding vision.
For OTP, Bryson Andrews continued to impress with his 3-point shooting. He knocked down four more in the game.

Balancing two games at once again, I got to see OTP National (15U) and Goat Hoops (16U) pick up wins on courts 8 and 9.

For OTP’s 15U squad, Gabe Alterman was captivating at the point guard spot. He wasn’t one for scoresheet watchers because he didn’t light it up in the scoring column, but his pace and poise are advanced for his age. He has great feel and sets his guys up with easy baskets. He makes everyone around him better on offense.

Alterman has some edge to him on defense too. He’s a pest on the ball and will snatch it away from an opposing ball handler if they’re not careful.

Jordan Foster led the team with 12 points. He provided a strong presence in the post for OTP.

Goat Hoops looked good on court 9. PG Taishawn Jeffery was the engine for them in this one. He finished with 20 points and carried the offense for stretches early on.

Jeffery worked from inside out in this game. He was able to get to the basket to start the game for some easier looks. Then, he stepped out and drained a pair of 3-pointers when Goat Hoops started to stretch their lead out.

Dalton Jackson added 15 points for Goat Hoops in the backcourt. While Jeffery did a lot of his work early, Jackson got it going later. This duo packs a heavy scoring punch, and they work well together.

In a 16U battle, Pro One picked up a win over Chattanooga Elite. After picking up an offer from Alabama-Huntsville last night, Pro One big man Josh Bowman had a solid game to help give Pro One the edge.

The 6-foot-8 forward finished with 12 points, which included an impressive dunk. Bowman is fundamentally sound and skilled.

Bryant James heated up in the second half with 11 of his 13 points coming after halftime. He finished creative layups at the rim and stepped out and knocked down a three.

2:30

Team Dr1ven advanced in the 17U Orange bracket with great games from Connor McPherson and Bryson Berry the pair combined for 36  points in their win. They were able to get whatever they wanted at the bucket in the second half and make a killing on layups. This duo impressed on Friday night as well. They’re making some noise this weekend.

3:35

Alabama Fusion Blue—their 16U squad—wowed our staff and the onlookers that encircled court 9.

2026 F Sam Funches was the highlight of the show. Coming off of a trip to Houston to participate in the USA Basketball workouts, Funches is widely regarded as one of the best in his class. He certainly looked like it today. At 6-foot-10, Funches wasn’t afraid to be big. He dominated around the basket with dunks, rebounds and blocks. He also used his length to get steals and made some nice passes. He checked so many boxes, and the scary thing is that he probably isn’t done growing. He wears a size 20 shoe, so we could be seeing him hit the 7-foot mark at some point.

Colben Landrew had a fantastic outing as well. On the wing, he showed some offensive versatility by scoring on the perimeter and at the rim.

4:40

Another busy time slot saw Pro One and Alabama Fusion Red take center stage and draw the biggest crowd of the day to the center of the gym while Kountry Wayne Elite and SP Elite also grabbed my attention as one of the rare all Georgia matchups of the weekend.

I split my time between the two as equally as possible. Allow me to delve into my hometown game first.

SP Elite pulled out a hard-fought win in OT. Skylar Stovall continued to make noise this weekend with a 22-point game to lead SP Elite.

Big man Rashad Bryant finished in double figures as well, and he hit the game-deciding basket.

For Kountry Wayne, Caleb Samples first came onto my radar at this event a year ago when he was playing with the Georgia Canes 15U team.

Now on the Kountry Wayne 16U squad, he looks better than ever. Samples looks to have grown some, and his athleticism has taken a step forward.

Kai Wood showed plenty of promise for Kountry Wayne as well. He’s long, lanky, and he moves well. He can continue to emerge as a prospect moving forward.

In the other game, Pro One picked up a huge win in front of onlooking Garrison Brooks.

Ty Davis and Simon Walker led the way for them again. The pair combined for 33. To this point, they’ve been the most exciting duo in the gym. Both will be coach magnets during the upcoming live periods.
Jacoby Hill has been attracting high major interest this spring, and he looked fantastic for Alabama Fusion. He finished with 15.

5:45

When it gets this late in the day, it’s hard to continue to process things, but the Tennessee Tigers and Alabama Fusion played in a captivating game. Each team had a player heat up from beyond the arc.
For the Fusion, Adrian Wooley hit three of his five when they were making their second-half comeback before eventually winning in OT. Zundra Jackson caught fire early for the Tigers.
