2023 HoopSeen Tip-Off: 15U Standouts
SUWANEE, Ga—When it comes to the 2026 class, this spring and summer will be about forming initial—but not concrete—opinions on players.
From a national and local perspective, there are very few in this class who have made any significant impact. That’s mostly due to the fact that as an industry, we generally don’t hone in on freshmen unless there’s a can’t-miss guy out there.
Tip-Off was a way of seeing guys for the first time in a significant capacity or confirming what we saw out of some players that got varsity minutes in high school.
These are some of the 15U divisions standouts from the weekend.
We had him as the Freshman of the Year in 7A for a reason. Look, it takes a pretty damn goood player to crack the varsity rotation consistently at a program like Grayson and on a team as deep and talented as this year’s Rams squad was. At Tip-Off, Allen bolstered our belief in him with Team Huncho. This dude is a baller, and he’s wired to score. Allen got it done from all levels consistently throughout the weekend. While the 2026 class won’t get a bright spotlight from a national perspective quite yet, look for Allen to be one of the class’ Georgia representatives that builds plenty of buzz. - Josh Tec
College coaches are always looking for a big man that can step outside and knock down shots from the perimeter. Knight did that and more on Saturday for the 15 and under Team United program coached by Joe Adams night, out of the Durham area showcase his ability to score in the post, knocked down mid range, shots, and showed he was capable of being a consistent shooter from beyond the three-point line. At 6 foot nine, Knight is a guy that has a chance to keep growing and has the lance to be a rim protector on the defensive side of the ball. - Justin Byerly
This was another successful Reach Higher squad. Forward Caleb Drummer was at the heart of their success all weekend. He was a consistent double figure contributor in scoring and showed a pretty versatile offensive game. He’s a PF with the capability of knocking down jumpers, and, of course, he can score around the basket and pull boards as well.
We use a variation of the phrase “stacking weekends” around HoopSeen, and between Georgia Cup I and Tip-Off, Bahji Daniel has done that for Metro Elite. Over the course of both weekends, he’s averaged around 15ppg, and that might be being conservative with it. He has come onto our radar quickly, and we look forward to seeing more of him this spring. - Josh Tec
Kerr was named to the Charlotte Observer all-freshman team just a few weeks ago and seeing him in person, showed us what the accolades were all about. Kerr was able to showcase his ability to knock down shots, get to the rim on drives, and was a steady defense of presents for Team United 15 and under group. West Charlotte has been known as a program that produces a lot of college-level talent and Kerrr looks like he’s going to fit right into the mold of what the lions consistently bring to high school basketball in North Carolina. - Justin Byerly
Zhu is a point guard too look out for in Georgia’s 2026 class. I’ll keep it real with you, I have no real feel for where people stand in the class yet because it’s too early to tell. However, I’m confident that as things round into form, Zhu will be one of the better guards when it comes time to rank the class. He controls the game so well at this stage. He’s shifty and uses a change of speeds well to get the advantage on his defender, and he makes good decisions when he gets into the teeth of a defense. He has a bright future, and I can’t wait to follow his progression. - Josh Tec
