Cactus Classic: Eye-catchers on Saturday, part II

MESA, AZ - The Cactus Classic had a number of eye-catchers on Saturday at Bell Bank Park. Let's dive into some the players who jumped off the page in the 17 and under division.

Andrew Camacho, AZ Firestorm: The 2023 combo guard is a problem.  He is so smart on both ends of the floor and has a knack for always seeming to be in the right place at the right time.  He has a clip from the outside and makes you pay as a defender if you go under a screen or give him any room to set his feet. - Justin Vargas

Derek Stanley, Legion of Hoops- The class of 2023 shooting guard caught my eye today and was the first time I got to see him play.  The Yuma product impressed and was effective in both games they played today.  He really played well in their first game against a really good AZ Firestorm team with a bunch of effort plays and some flashes that showed you the package he has in his bag.

Tru Washington, AZ Firestorm 17U- The class of 2023 shooting guard is built a little different when it comes to raw toughness and that competitive edge.  He plays the game so aggressively that most defenders can not match his intensity.  He is a straight up DOG on both ends of the court.

Ant Wilcox, AZ Spartans: Jet quick and pesky on defense, Wilson caused a lot of problems with his play on both sides of the floor on Saturday. The Skyline Prep guard plays with his foot mashed on the gas all full speed and never relents.
