14U Championship: Magic City Jayhawks 76, Iron City Huskies 63
After trailing for the majority of the game, the Jayhawks took the lead with six minutes remaining and did not look back. They were able to keep the game close, but just could not get over the hump until the final stretch. Every time it looked like Iron City was about to pull away, Magic City would make a run.
Kyle Nunnally was essential to the comeback. He led all scorers with 21 points including four 3-pointers. Two of those threes were hit back-to-back to give his team the lead. Center Miller Moody also had a nice showing scoring 17 points. He finished shots around the rim and dominated the boards. This is an impressive group of youngsters. I watched their guards make entry passes and find open cutters better than some high school players do.
