Four hot '22 prospects from GA are headed out of state
The state of Georgia is always loaded with college basketball prospects and these four guys were the center of hot and heavy recruitments. All four are leaving the Peach State and all four should be players to chart next fall and beyond.
The Bearcats are going to recruit Atlanta. They’ll always be in pursuit of a player from the Peach. No matter the coach, the Bearcats can be found in Atlanta prep circles looking for the next player. With Atlanta natives Chad Dollar and Andre Morgan on staff, this rings true more than ever. Cincy went right to heart of Buckhead and made Josh Reed a priroity out of the prestigious Pace Academy. Wes Miller and staff have a big, strong and still improving prospect that will fit in perfectly to the brand of basketball the Bearcats want to play.
Our @JustinDYoung really likes the signing of @Josh_Reed12 to @GoBearcatsMBB out of @Pace_Hoops. The Atlanta to Cincy pipeline continues. pic.twitter.com/CWuqWRSARC

There was a reason why Hadaway was our Most Valuable Player on the HoopSeen Association platform this season. A constant threat for a double-double and an important piece to his Atlanta Timberwolves team, the 6-foot-7 forward from Northwest Georgia had one of the best seasons of any player on an independent team in the nation. Pair his play with the trajectory that Ohio is on right now. After a season that finished a round into the NCAA tournament, the Bobcats extended their recruiting reach into the Peach State and snagged a player that so many schools had to get a look at this summer. Chalk this one up as a major recruiting win for both parties. Keep your eyes on his career in Athens, Ohio. If you hear someone call him a sleeper in college, feel free to laugh. He’s not. He’s made everyone pay attention.

The first time I saw Bass in person, he posted a 21-point, 22-rebound game in a big win against a big cross-town rival in Savannah, Georgia. I rushed to my car and called a number of high major schools and told them they better get involved with the supremely athletic forward because things were about to blow up on the recruiting front. Bass was outstanding in the game and warranted such attention. Then COVID hit and everything seemed to come to a halt. Bass stayed patient and Georgetown did some digging. To me, the long-term value could be really high as Bass continues to grow his game.
Georgetown went to Georgia and landed a good one in D'Ante Bass. What are the Hoyas getting with the bouncy F from Savannah? Good things to come, says @JustinDYoung. pic.twitter.com/lP60BODfVi

We've seen it - the growth of RJ Godfrey's game - for quite some time, dating back to Georgia Cup days as a middle school player. Now a legit 6-foot-7 multi-positional guy, Godfrey should give the Clemson Tigers a match-up problem in a lot of places in their rotation. He also considered Georgia Tech and Utah but ultimately the trip north on Interstate 85 won out.
.@ClemsonMBB has dipped into Georgia - Gwinnett Co. to be exact - and landed one of the Peach State's most versatile guys in the Southeast's 2022 class in @godfrey_rj, says @JustinDYoung. pic.twitter.com/GZbecslDcb
