We’re beyond Feast Week which means that the early signing period dust has completely settled. It can get chaotic ahead of one of the busiest weeks of basketball on the calendar. 

With some time to breathe and collect thoughts, we can take our time examining some of the classes we didn’t get to cover in depth while we were ingesting new information left and right. 

One of the classes that deserves its shine belongs to one of the mid-major darlings of last season, Kennesaw State. 

The Owls have a five-man class coming in which features three guards, perimeter players, and two forwards. 

Starting in the backcourt, Kennesaw State brings in Ricky McKenzie, Ramone Seals and Adrian Wooley. 

At nearby Marietta (GA) Wheeler, McKenzie is a shooting guard that can hang points on the board quickly. He heat up from beyond the arc and change a game from deep, and he’s rounding into more of a complete scorer and leader. 

Of the three guards, Seals might be the most college-ready of the bunch because of his strong frame and athleticism. Seals can play above the rim, he can muscle his way to the basket, and he has shown consistently great passing vision. 

From Alabama, Wooley makes winning plays. It’s as simple as that. He finds ways to impact games on both ends of the floor. His motor is never in question, and he’s as tough, competitive as they come. 

Moving on to the frontcourt, the Owls landed a pair of Georgia’s finest forwards in Braedan Lue and Mekhi Turner. 

Both Lue and Turner are best using their physical and athletic gifts around the basket, but over the years, they’ve shown flashes of more versatile skillsets that can have them playing away from the paint and out the the perimeter at times. 

Because of the class’ talented depth, this stacks up with the best that Kennesaw State has ever had. 

It’s a group that portends well for the new coaching staff as they look to keep the program’s momentum operating at a high level.
