2023 Fall Preview: Team 2 Evaluations
SUWANEE, Ga.—Every camp seems to have a team that stands out as the best of the day, and team two emerged as that on Sunday. The teams were randomly assigned, and this group meshed well together.
Dwight was tabbed as one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Escher has proven himself across multiple platforms. He’s at his best when he’s in attack mode and looking to get all the way to the rim. He’s a strong finisher who can handle contact well, and he makes good reads when he draws help defenders. On a day that saw several great guards, Escher was discussed by our staff and coaches as one of the best.
As we get close to the high school season, we’re making note of some of the freshmen to keep tabs on, and Howery looks like someone that we need to see more of. He has a solid build at the PG spot, and he uses it well to handle bumps on drives. Once he gets more high school experience under his belt, he could emerge as a name we talk more about in the future.
Jones was tabbed as one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
A young guard on a team that ended up being pretty loaded, Jordan still found a way to stand out. He has a smooth jumper that looks like it can continue to develop into a nice weapon for him. Jordan was also active in passing lanes and got several deflections.
Richardson was tabbed as one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Starks had some bright moments on the afternoon. He’s a quick guard with an aggressive mindset. When it came time to get out and run, he looked to attack the basket on every fast break.
Pollock was good running the break in transition leading to easy layups. He pushed the ball assertively up the floor. He’s also a guard that can knock down the occasional three pointer.
McVey was tabbed as one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
