2023 NextGen Preview Camp: Team Five
SUWANEE, Ga.—Here are the team five evaluations from the NextGen Preview camp.
Davis was applauded by his coach for being a coachable teammate with a good attitude. His in-game development will benefit from that.
West gets the ball up the floor fast. He’s a guard that plays well in uptempo settings. One of the most noticeable positives that West brought to his team was enthusiasm.
Rhodes has terrific feel as a passer. It showed up early and often. He made great reads with the ball in his hands and got his team great shots rather than good shots.
Weed’s feel with his ability to hit a shot impressed throughout the days his competitiveness on defense was noticeable as well. He didn’t get beat often on that end. His shooting kept showing throughout the day.
Throughout the afternoon, Reynolds’ best attribute was his ability to guard. He’s pesky in that regard. He keeps in front of his man well and can create pressure for opposing ball handlers.
Whitaker was named as one of the camp’s top overall performers. You can read more about him here.
Woodson was named as one of the camp’s top overall performers. You can read more about him here.
Taylor’s physical build is a positive. He’s a versatile player who can use his stronger frame around the basket and play on the perimeter some as well.
White already has a lot working well for him in the size department. He was one of the bigger forwards in attendance and made a tremendous impact around the basket.
