2022 Fall Preview Team Four Breakdown
SUWANEE, GA—Team sorting is always randomized and moved around here and there to even out size differentials. Every so often, there are teams that have multiple players who fit well together and go on to have impressive days at camp. This group that made up team four was one of those. They were talented and had more than one player who caught the eyes of evaluators on Sunday.
Ryan Williams was one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
In the past, we’ve seen Landon Gates shoot it well from the 3-point line. He did more of that on Sunday. Gates also brought good energy whenever he hit the floor. In transition, he gets the ball up the floor quickly and makes smart decisions on the break. Gates is a blur, and he can use his speed to send defenses into disarray.
On back-to-back weekends, Boston Kersh impressed our coaches and staff. He’s emerging as a consistent standout in the 2025 class. A big guard, Kersh has a well-rounded offensive skill set, and he can carry teams for stretches of play. We’ve seen him excel as a shooter, and he’s become more adept as a driver and playmaker. Kersh can score from all levels consistently. He will play a big role for Cherokee Bluff this season, and he’s a guy we feel confident in as a continual riser in the state’s sophomore class.
Zach Foster was one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Rivers was one of the underclass prospects who showed potential to continue to emerge as a name to know as his high school career continues. Positionally, he rebounds the ball well and doesn’t mind mixing it up with bigger post players. He was able to navigate to the basket on drives and finished at the rim consistently. We look forward to following his development more.
Quamond Isaiah Dennis was one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Bailey Dooley is a long, athletic guard. He can use his length and athleticism to be a disruptive presence on defense. With the ball in his hands, he can get by his man and finish at the rim. For his position, Bailey is a helpful, productive rebounder.
Jackson is a strong guard. On Sunday, he displayed a physical style of play and served as a guard who took on a utility role and did a little bit of everything. In that sense, he was one of the more versatile guys on the team. Offensively, he finishes everything at the rim and uses his frame to handle bumps on drives. After camp concluded, his coach cited Jackson as an excellent teammate.
James McGriff was one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Hurt was toughness personified on Sunday. He’s a guard who will embrace the dirty work and bring physicality to the game. Those guys have so much value because they’re low-maintenance and just make plays happen. Despite not being the biggest guy, he can rebound well among taller players. Hurt’s a guy who’ll sit down and defend the point of attack, and he can lock up the other team’s off-ball guards too. Hurt can read passing lanes and take steals home for easy buckets.
