2022 Elite Preview Top Overall Performers II

SUWANEE, GA—The Elite Preview camp has been a star-studded event for years. Going through the top performers from years past will reveal many players who went on to star for prominent college programs in addition to some who are being paid to play this beautiful game.

We’ve already hit on some of the top overall performers from camp, and here are five more.

Dre Clarke is making a name for himself as a creator. He can dazzle with the ball in his hands. On Sunday, Clarke showed off his shiftiness. He can get to his shot whenever he wants. There’s a ton of potential in him when it comes to scoring and distributing the ball. Over the coming years, you’ll be hearing a lot out of Dre Clarke.

Young had an impressive day on Sunday. At 6-foot-5, he brings good size to the perimeter. Young shoots it well from mid range out to the 3-point line. While he’s a great shooter, he can navigate his way to the rim too. Young rebounds the ball well and isn’t afraid to stick his nose down in the paint and mix it up with the trees.

One of the more promising players in Georgia’s 2026 class, Aponte had another solid outing on Sunday. He’s made a reputation as a shooter early on. He’s also a two-way guy who can guard multiple positions. Aponte has split positional size and uses his body well on drives. He can take physicality well. As a freshman, he’ll make some noise at Galloway this season.

Max McNeill had one of the best days of anyone in the gym. He was phenomenal from start to finish. He’s a smooth operator on the perimeter. McNeill is crafty and shifty in his attack. He scores the ball well from multiple levels and can dish out dimes with the best of them at his level. He plays with the utmost poise and confidence. He left his impact on the game in every facet.

An absolute sniper, Jarvis Wright came up from South Georgia and had the gym chattering about his ability to shoot. When he hoists it, it looks like it’s going in every time. He can get scorching hot from the perimeter, and he could certainly be in the discussion as the best in the state. He has a strong frame and can take guys off the bounce too. As an overall point guard, he should continue to round into form and continue to make a name for himself.
