2022 Elite Preview Team 6 Evaluations
SUWANEE, GA—Over the course of the week, HoopSeen has broken down the top performers and each individual team from Sunday’s Elite Preview camp. We close out our coverage with a look at team six.
Richerson certainly brought some toughness with him on Sunday. He’s a hard-nosed guy who leads by example. Richerson is a good overall scorer who is strong at the rim and can shoot it well from 3-point range. Most importantly, he’s a floor general who can run a team well. As a 2026 player, he was on the younger side, but he showed that he should be a name to monitor from North Georgia for the next few years.
Cockrell is a pass-first point guard who advances the ball well and makes good reads. While his value shines brightest as a passer, he can be a scorer when needed. Cockrell showed that he can be a threat from the 3-point line. We were impressed his ability to score and would like to see him be more assertive on that end while still being able to distribute as well as he does.
Connor Teasley was tabbed as one of the camp’s top overall performers. You can read more about him here.
A long guard with good size, Elijah Milliner had a day that established himself in the eyes of our staff and coaches. He can play multiple perimeter spots on both ends of the floor. He’s a strong defender who uses his physical traits well. Offensively, he can play well on and off the ball. Milliner has feel and attacks with craft with the ball in his hands.
Deke Cooper was tabbed as one of the camp’s top overall performers. You can read more about him here.
Harden is an overall impactful player who just makes plays. To put it concisely, he gets things done on the court. He’s a slahser who uses his length well at the rim and is a consistent finisher. Harden is a multi-positional defender who can disrupt with a combination of timing, length, and an understanding of how to use his feet when guarding.
LeMelle is a walking double-double. He’s great on the glass with his size, strength and length. LeMelle scores it well at the rim and showed that he’s comfortable pushing in transition. LeMelle has some range on his jumper and will become even scarier to match up with as that keeps progressing. Defensively, he may have been one of the more versatile guys in the gym on Sunday. He protects the rim well, and he can switch on guards and defend the perimeter.
