Fall Preview Team Four Breakdown
Our staff is excited to continue to roll out our team-by-team breakdowns. After conferring with coaches and each other, here’s team four.
Blue is a 6-foot guard from Duluth, GA and I was really impressed with his ability to score. He’s a solid ball-handler and is efficient with breaking down defenders while slashing to the basket. Blue has a nice pull-up jumper and played some real solid defense - DC
Diaby was definitely one of my favorite players to watch at the fall preview and he showed consistency on both ends of the floor throughout the day. He has a quick first step and can be explosive once he gets by a defender. Diaby is very elite with his scoring, whenever a bucket was needed he did not shy away from making a play. He’s a confident shooter and can knock down the three. He is a strong finisher at the rim and I was amazed by his ability to get into the lane for a quick basket. - DC
Galloway played with a lot of hustle and energy this past weekend. He gets up and down the floor very well and provides some solid defense. Galloway had some good leaping ability and was very consistent finishing at the rim. - DC
Kaambo spaces the floor very well and can serve as a legitimate 3-point threat. He plays solid defense and really brings energy on that end of the floor. As he adds more strength and becomes more vocal, Kaambo could emerge as a nice piece for Sprayberry this season.
If I had to describe Rakestraw in one word, it would be bouncy. He flexed those springs in his legs often throughout the day. Only a sophomore, Rakestraw is a player who already boasts impressive athleticism. As his game refines and he becomes more assertive, I think a breakout season could be in the cards for him. - Josh Tec
At 6-foot-3, Waters has good size and length at the guard spot. Combined with his athleticism, that length allows for him to be a disruptive defender who can guard most positions on the floor. With some added strength and more development, Waters could emerge as a solid prospect by the time his senior year rolls around.
Mason is a competitor. He’s an athletic, competitive wing. At 6-foot-4, the sophomore prospect can be slotted in all over the perimeter. He crashes the boards well for his position and is a strong finisher around the bucket. Mason shoots the ball well from distance too.
