Fall Preview Team 10 Breakdown
Here are the team 10 evaluations from the Fall Preview camp. These were compiled by our staff and coaches.
Baylor plays with a ton of poise. He’s the kind of lead guard that I would want leading the charge during crunch time. He’s a good shooter with a smooth stepback jumper. My favorite qualities of his game are his leadership and communication. It’s not easy to get players to be vocal, so it’s always impressive to me when it’s naturally there.
Boyd has a nice pull-up jumper and really thrives in the mid-range. His athleticism is something that should be made note of too. At 6-foot-2, Boyd is a guy who can play above the rim.
Like his brother, Dooley is a young guard with promise. Also like his brother, he’s a really good defender. He runs the floor really well. Where Dooley shines particularly is his ability to shoot the ball. He’s a lights-out 3-point shooter.
Hull’s motor is off the charts. He’s not someone that needs to be told to play hard. It’s because of that motor that he’s as great of a rebounder as he is. Hull is the kind of player that thrives in a physical style. He’s not just a plodding rebounder though. Hull is an athletic wing who can shoot the ball too.
Leach is a tough defender. Ultimately, when I thought about some of the better defensive prospects, Leach was among the names I thought of. He makes the opposition’s life miserable between the lines. Leach is also a guy who fights for the rebounds and wins that war frequently.
Moore is a guard who can put up points quickly. He’s a confident shooter, and he’s tough to keep out of the lane. Moore plays with a lot of energy, and it’s infectious. He’s a player that’s really fun to watch.
