Spring Preview Team 5 Breakdown

Scott Thompson, 2021, Guard: Thompson is a good-sized guard. He uses his length to bother people on the defensive end of the floor. When he gets into a rhythm, he can get hot from the field.

Jonathan Bryant, 2022, Guard: Bryant is a high-energy guard that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. On defense, he’s disruptive and difficult to shake. Offensively, he’s creative off the dribble and finds ways to get to the rim. He converts acrobatic finishes at a high clip.

Dannard Waller Jr, 2021, Guard: If you’re a defender, make sure not to take your eyes off of Waller Jr because he’s a fantastic shooter. If given an iota of space, Waller will make teams pay from deep. In transition, Waller is an adept finisher around the rim.

Michael Townsend, 2021, Guard: Townsend is a tremendously athletic guard. He can get to any spot on the court that he wants. Townsend finishes at the rim as well as anyone at the camp, and he’s also a killer from mid-range. For a guard, he rebounds better than most.

Tyler Buggs, 2022, Forward: Buggs was one of the more versatile players at the camp. He can reasonably fit in at multiple spots on the court. He’s got enough size and strength to be a post player. He can shoot, pass and handle the ball well enough to play around the perimeter. One of his most outstanding attributes is his tenacity on the glass. After watching Buggs show off his skill set, it’s apparent that there’s a triple-double coming in his future if it hasn’t already happened.

D’Ante Bass, 2022, Wing: D’Ante Bass was named as one of our top performers. You can read about him here.
