Five potential Section 7 blow-up players from the class of 2025

June has become an important month in the recruiting landscape because of the value of the scholastic team camps across the country.

We’ve seen players elevate their profiles and earn scholarships during this important stretch of the recruiting calendar. With big-time events happening right around the corner, we wanted to get into our cheat sheets and offer up some players to watch.

Here's a deep dive into the class of 2025 of players to watch at the Section 7 team camp happening this weekend at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ.

Jasir Rencher, Archbishop Riordan: It has been a great spring for the wing from San Fransisco. He’s catching on quickly with recruiters that pay attention. Rencher has picked up offers from Minnesota, Illinois, UNLV and UC Santa Barbara after thing for Team Lillard this spring. He mixes big-time bounce with keen shooting from the wing. Of all of the players from the class of 2025 in the field, I think this 6-foot-6 junior warrants a good long look at the Section 7 camp. He’s on the verge of a national inclusion to the rankings lists.

Nate Garcia, Damien: The big man, and I mean big man, is one of the best rebounders in the class of 2025 nationally. Garcia is an elite glass cleaner. He was the San Gabriel Valley Player of the Year after his sophomore campaign for Damien (26-5). The 6-foot-11 Garcia has a huge frame with huge hands and powerful legs and shoulders. Opposing players really have to dig deep into the bravery category to decide if they want to contend with him. Garcia isn’t a secret to recruiters in the West. It will be interesting to see if his recruitment jumps off at a more national level thanks to his play at Section 7.

Michael Simcoe, Sanda Day O’Connor: In a field full of homegrown players, keep a close watch on this Arizona prospect. The 6-foot-8 forward plays hard and smart both inside and out. His game continues to get better. He’s an absolute competitor that uses his high energy to create problems inside and out. To date, Simcoe has picked up offers from Northern Arizona and UC Irvine. He has a college frame and a fundamentally sound game that you can trust from game to game. This should be a fruitful weekend for the local forward.

Kenyon Aguino, Volcano Vista: He was the Gatorade Player of the Year in New Mexico as a sophomore. The 6-foot-7 forward is a double-double machine and has proven to be a match-up problem. A 4.0 student, Aguino picked up an offer from New Mexico State back in May. Last year at Section 7, Aguino posted a double-double throughout the action. He’s worth a good watch for teams in the West and could be a player to really pay attention to in the years to come.

Garrett Barger, Eaglecrest: I saw him for the first time last spring during the NCAA Live Period and have been intrigued about his game ever since. He had a productive spring with the Mountain Stars out of Utah on the Under Armour circuit. He brings some interchangeable value in the frontcourt as a combo forward. Barger goes hard on the glass and competes with an extra gear. You can always count him to empty the tank. He's known in the West but this could be a good weekend to turn all of that interest to offers for the class of 2025 prospect.
