15U HoopSeen West Tip-Off Top Performers, Part II
Let’s run through the top overall performers from the HoopSeen West Tip-Off at the amazing Bell Bank Park. Today we run part II out our top performers from the 15 and under division.
Madi isn’t half as shot happy as you would like but his percentage from the outside should be pretty damn high. While he is not a volume shooter, he is a very capable one. But he is unselfish and we are watching him grow physically right before our eyes. He is really starting to stretch out. He is also finding a little more athleticism, which will make him more of a factor in the paint when he finds himself there. While it seems like he is still trying to find his identity on the court at times, he is a prospect to watch moving forward.
If you watched any of this kids games over the weekend you had to notice how effective he is on the offensive end. He has size not many have at his age and he will fool you if you think he can’t shoot it from the outside. He had some spurts where he was getting buckets at an insanely high clip and he is physical down low, bullying people in the paint. If his feet catch up with his motor, he is going to be a problem for years.
seems like he is probably just scratching the surface for the player he could end up being. He has great size and a strong presence inside. He looked really good in stretches against the competition this past weekend and while he is still pretty raw, he moves really good for his size. He will end up being one of the better defenders from his position in his class if he stays committed to that end during his development. Future seems bring for Ali. -Justin Vargas
Walcott had his way with just about every defender that stepped in front of him. Offensively, he lacks nothing. A 3-level scorer that is crafty with the ball and can make defenders pay in a variety of ways. At 5-foot-10 he isn’t the biggest guard, especially given the fact that he is more of a natural 2-guard as opposed to a PG, but you can not deny his ability to score the basketball and make plays. It’s going to be a fun couple of more years watching him grow before his eyes.
