Winfield's Logan Feltman Commits to Shelton State

Feltman is Heading to Shelton State.

For the past few weeks, the state of Alabama has seen some joyous times as offers continue to rack up and players begin to select their home for next season.

The next person to come off the board is 6-foot-10 Logan Feltman as he takes the next step with committing to one of the top Jucos of Shelton State.

He averages 20 points while pulling down ten rebounds per game, putting up some of the best numbers at the forward position.

Feltman provided some great insight into what led to his decision.

“The reason I decided to commit to Shelton State was because of how close to home it is, and I loved the atmosphere of the games on my visits,” he said. “Also, I believe this is the best place for me to develop, and I know they can help me get to the next level!”

Feltman says his relationship with the coaching staff is great.

“First time meeting them, they treated me like they had known me for years,” he said. “They made me feel at home, and I could see how much they all believe in me!”

Under the head coaching of Joe Eatmon, Shelton State finished 24-2 last season with a strong run in the NJCAA playoffs; what can Feltman add to this solid team.

“I believe I can bring a lot of different things to this program,” he said. “I have become a lot more versatile this past year, and I have grown as a player.”

He went on to say that he can play outside or inside now, so whatever helps the team win, he will do.

Feltman says his main goal for his final season at Winfield is to bring home a championship. As for his future at Shelton State, his overall mission is to play Division 1 basketball.

“So hopefully play one or two years at Shelton, whichever is needed. Then go to a D1 program and graduate college. Just have to wait and see what God has in store for me,” he said.
