AL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: '23 Guard Win Miller
The Premier Athlete
Win Miller is a 6-foot-3 guard from Birmingham, AL, and attends Vestavia Hills high school. Miller had a solid season helping his team to a 29-5 record and proved why he is one of the premier athletes in the state.
Miller plays with a lot of energy and has a very high motor getting up and down the court. Miller is a player that values good spacing on the floor; defenders often have a hard time keeping up with him on the floor, thus leading to many open shots.
He has a quick dribble-drive that’s unmatched; this kid has a nice crossover that helps with creating good space from defenders. His ability to finish at the basket is off the charts; Miller is very swift on the attack and makes scoring in the lane look easy.
Miller says he’s gotten a lot stronger and has become more of an all-around player.
He was asked if any part of his game needed more improvement; he had this to say.
“I am constantly working on improving on the defensive end and getting more polished with my handle,” he said.
College Offers and Interest
With his incredible play, Miller has picked up some major offers from schools such as Samford, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Alabama, and Auburn so far.
Miller has also been talking with Florida State, Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Belmont as well.
He has already taken his visit to Belmont on September 23rd, Florida State on September 25th, Auburn on October 9th and will take a visit to Vanderbilt at some point.
Miller was asked about his expectations from a college.
“I want to go somewhere that is a good fit and not too far from home,” he said. I want to be somewhere I can make an impact from day one and hopefully go to the next level after.”
Off the Court
When it comes to his favorite players, Miller loves to study and watch Memphis Grizzley’s Ja Morant and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.
As for music Miller listens to a lot of Lil Baby and Drake
Outside of basketball Miller plays a lot of golf.
Heading into his junior season, Miller only has one goal: to win a State Championship.
