2026 Bama Jam: 16U Top Performers
HOOVER, AL – After a busy weekend at the Finley Center, the 2026 edition of Bama Jam is officially in the books. Looking back at Saturday and Sunday’s action, there’s plenty of news and notes to comb through.
There was plenty of exciting talent in the 16U division, including some HoopSeen Association names that should be staples on the stage this travel season.
Without further adieu, here’s our top performers from the 16U division…
RELATED: 17U Top Performers, Part I | Part II
Jordan Rollins, 2028 CG, DH Vipers: I caught my first glimpse of Rollins a few years ago at Bama Jam and it’s impressive to see the growth since his 8th grade year. Now as a sophomore, the talented guard has already played on some big stages. He was an integral part of 7A Dothan’s run to the Final Four during the high school season and it looks like he’s taking some of that energy and swagger into the travel season. Rollins, a long and skilled prospect, played both guard positions effectively for the Vipers, whether he was acting as a scorer or a facilitator. He made some slithery moves through defenses all weekend and was one of the most acrobatic finishers around the rim. It’s still early, but I think Rollins could be a sleeper guard in this year’s HoopSeen Association. - Garrett Tucker
Xavier Barber, 2028 CG, Norcross Heat: We’re no stranger to Xavier Barber here at HoopSeen – he was Co-MVP of the Elite 72 back in the fall – and the exciting guard lived up to the billing in Hoover. A young, dynamic guard, Barber made the most of his weekend and scored the ball in bunches. The Lanier Christian (GA) product has been known as a point guard, but I think you have to label him as a combo and creator at this point. He’s a valuable lead guard that can create opportunities for himself and others. Expect to see his name consistently throughout the travel season. - Garrett Tucker
Westin Hammond, 2028 PG, Team Global Elite: I’ll be honest, I knew Hammond’s name coming into this weekend. However, I was blown away by his performance at Bama Jam. He rose to the occasion each game and was one of the most competitive players I watched – regardless of age group. He logged plenty of usage across the stat sheet as he averaged 25 points and seven assists per game. The Guntersville (AL) native was a pest on defense and racked up his fair share of steals that led to easy points, too. Defenders struggled keeping Hammond in front with his deceiving quickness and burst – and he even raised eyebrows after skying through the lane for a big dunk. If anyone helped himself this weekend, it was Hammond. I know how good he is now. - Garrett Tucker
Trace Adcock, 2029 WF, YBG: Adcock, one of Georgia’s top freshmen, is fresh off a state championship run with Rabun County. He brought that same energy and high-level play across state lines to Bama Jam. Adcock’s can fill it up from all over the floor, but his most valuable trait is his sharpshooting. The 9th grader isn’t afraid to let it go from beyond the volleyball line! He has great positional size on the wing and uses his length on the defensive end to get in passing lanes. Adcock will be one of the most talented prospects in the HSA as he plays up in the 16U division. - Mekhi McKinney
Caileb Wilson, SM Ballers: Like Adcock, Caileb Wilson is also coming off a state championship in Alabama with 6A Oxford. Oxford will lose a lot of production in the backcourt due to graduation, so they'll be expecting more out of Wilson next season. He’s already hard at work during the travel season with SM Ballers. The quick-twitch floor general constantly got in the lane and acted as a playmaker for his team over the weekend. He showed he can be a table-setter or go get his own shots, as he showcased his range and shooting ability, too. Wilson was down on himself on Sunday afternoon after missing some free throws that didn’t put a game away, but don’t let a couple of missed shots discount the weekend he had. He’ll learn from it and come back better. - Garrett Tucker
Dylan Hamilton, 2028 SG, Fusion Academy: I caught a couple of glimpses of Fusion Academy’s games throughout the weekend and Hamilton consistently made shots for his team. That alone earns the McEachern (GA) prospect a spot on our top performers list. Throw in the fact that his performances helped Fusion Academy win the 16U division championship and it only helps his cause. I can make the argument that he was the top shooter in the facility over the weekend. He has ideal mechanics and lift and very rarely did his makes touch the rim – that’s how big of a zone he was in. Hamilton was a nice find from Bama Jam and another name we’re eager to keep track of during the travel season. - Garrett Tucker
