Laron Mack Atlanta Xpress UAA 2028 - Laron Mack might just be the next star to rise out of the Atlanta Xpress pipeline. The 6’7 forward from the class of 2028 made a strong first impression this weekend, showcasing a rare blend of size, skill, and edge that instantly grabs your attention.

Mack plays with poise beyond his years. He handles the ball comfortably in the open floor, steps out and knocks down shots with confidence, and moves with fluidity that’s hard to find in young bigs. What separates him, though, is his motor—he competes on every possession, hunts blocks at the rim, and brings a level of intensity that’s impossible to ignore.

With his combination of versatility, mobility, and toughness, Mack is already tracking as a future high-major prospect. This weekend was just the beginning of what could be a special journey for the Florida native. Coaches need to get him on their radar now—he’s got next. - Mekhi Mckinney

Jahmar Maurice, Game Elite -  Jahmar Maurice showed poise and polish well beyond his years in Game Elite’s win over Redline Basketball Club Elite. The Woodstock High School guard put together a strong showing with his ability to score from all three levels and control the pace of the game. He plays with a smooth, confident approach that stands out every time he touches the ball.

Maurice isn’t the biggest guard on the floor, but he knows how to use his frame to his advantage—drawing contact, bumping off defenders, and finishing through traffic in the paint. He’s an efficient shot-maker who picks his spots well and doesn’t force the action. Whether he’s running the offense or attacking off the bounce, he plays with maturity and always seems to make the right read.

He also showed flashes of high-level playmaking, delivering sharp passes and keeping teammates involved. With his scoring instincts, physicality, and feel for the game, Maurice continues to prove he’s one of the more reliable backcourt pieces in the 2028 class. - Mekhi McKinney

Braylon Williams, Team Thad 2028 - Class of 2028 guard Braylon Williams made a statement this weekend at The Main Event, leading Team Thad to a 62-51 win over Team Speights Red. Williams stuffed the stat sheet with 16 points, including three shots from beyond the arc, and proved why he’s one of the top rising prospects in his class.

Already holding an offer from Memphis, Williams showed off a complete skillset throughout the event. He played with poise and confidence, efficiently scoring the ball from all three levels while also creating quality looks for his teammates. His court vision and unselfish play kept the offense flowing, but when it was time to get a bucket, Williams stepped up as the go-to option.

Defensively, he brought energy and toughness, making things difficult for opposing guards with scrappy on-ball pressure. What stood out most was his leadership — Braylon didn’t just score, he orchestrated the game. - Mekhi Mckinney

Jeremiah Murchison, Team Wall - Delivered an outstanding performance at The Main Event, leading Team Wall to a dominant 81–29 victory over Shockers Black OTR. Murchison scored 28 points, showcasing his ability to score from all three levels, create plays, and finish above the rim. His proficiency in generating space allowed him to connect on midrange shots and deep three-pointers, even under defensive pressure. Defensively, he applied consistent pressure, disrupting opponents and forcing turnovers. Murchison’s all-around performance underscores his potential as a college-level prospect, showing why he’s one to be watched in the 2028 class. - Mekhi Mckinney

Xavier Barber, Norcross Heat - At The Main Event this weekend, Norcross Heat’s point guard once again demonstrated why he’s among the elite in Georgia’s 2028 class in my opinion. Barber showcased his high basketball IQ by making precise reads and delivering crucial passes that kept the offense fluid. Barber consistently makes plays that make you say “wow” when the balls in his hands, to go along with his steady pace which allows him to control games.

Offensively, he proved his versatility by scoring over taller defenders and creating opportunities for others with his exceptional court vision. Defensively, his tenacity led to key turnovers, further highlighting his all-around game. His consistent standout performances each weekend underscore his continuous improvement and solidify his status as a player deserving increased recognition in Georgia’s 2028 class. - Mekhi Mckinney
