2023 HoopSeen Tip-Off: Available Senior Spotlight Pt. II

SUWANEE, Ga—The recruiting landscape has changed to a point to which more talented seniors are available at this stage in the game than ever before. College coaches are still looking too.

It’s a matter of patience for recruits. We’re all adjusting. For college coaches, consider this a cheat sheet.

Miles is suiting up with Team Loaded 828 this spring in hopes of boosting his recruitment. If this weekend was any indication, I think he has a good chance to do just that. The 6-foot-1 guard was given the keys to the car so to speak, as he was the team’s primary point guard for much of the weekend. Miles did a quality job creating for others and creating for himself, and he rattled in a handful of three-pointers over the course of the event. The Alabama native will be an intriguing guard to watch this spring. - Garrett Tucker

In my opinion, college coaches are going to be putting a huge emphasis on production when evaluating unsigned seniors (and others) this travel season. McGhee fits that bill perfectly and it was on full display this weekend with Team Huncho. The 6-foot-6 wing operated well around the rim with his hard-nosed style of play. If you’re a college coach looking for a dog that touches all of the stat sheet, McGhee is your guy. - Garrett Tucker

Payne has a lot of the tools to be a productive college player. Over the weekend, he showed off a lot of what he can do well. He’s someone that can score from all over the floor and plays with toughness and a high motor. He can lock up all perimeter spots with a combination of his length and athleticism. He shouldn’t be available for much longer. - Josh Tec

Fisher is a guard that can hang points on the board in a hurry. He’s been a guy that I’ve been a fan of for a while. He’s quick and pressures defenses with his persistent rim attack. Over Tip-Off weekend, he showed plenty of that, but he also shot the ball well. In one game he dropped in five 3-pointers. - Josh Tec

Mitchell had an impressive showing on Sunday. He’s an available senior that should be on D1 radars if he isn’t already. Mitchell is athletic and is an above-the-rim target for the exceptional passers that the Ellis brothers are. Mitchell is also a shot-maker. You kind of have to be on this Team Loaded team. He brings so much versatility to this team. - Josh Tec
