Bama Jam 15U Championship recap

15 AND UNDER: JSI Elite 9th 84, PT_2024 81

At this year’s BamaJam, HoopSeen was pleased to receive so many great teams on the 15U bracket. Both PT_2024 and JSI Elite went undefeated over the weekend so it was destined that these two elite groups would face off for the title game.

Before tip-off, this championship game was filled with great expectation. Early on, PT_2024 got off to a quick start knocking down two three-pointers, showing that they were locked and ready to play. PT_2024 carried that momentum into the half leading 40-35 led by Terrell Johnson with 14 points and JSI’s Keown Richardson had 10 points helping his team stay close.

Later, this high intensity would come down to the wire where both teams begin to trade baskets, neither getting the upper hand ending 80-80 headed into overtime.

In overtime, both teams would continue to trade baskets fighting for every loose ball sacrificing everything to get the win.

With the help of Richardson, JSI Elite would pull away with a close win. He dropped 24 points and dished out several assists. He was accompanied by Fred Tripp who added 14 points and stepped up big time with some great plays in overtime. PT_2024’s Johnson played a tough game and finished with 21 points and help by Brandon Cooks Jr. with 19.

This was probably one of the best games of the evening, both PT_2024 and JSI Elite did not disappoint on the show they put on in the championship game.
