Myles Tate Calls it for Butler

One of the more sought after point guards in the 2020 class, Myles Tate committed to Butler University tonight.

Tate announced a final 7 of Appalachian State, Butler, South Carolina, Ole Miss, College of Charleston, Pittsburgh and Murray State on July 31st and took his first official visit to Butler on Friday.

The first visit proved to be enough for Tate with his commitment to the Bulldogs tonight.

His high school coach, Thomas Ryan had this to say about his rising senior point guard and future Butler Bulldog,“ I love Myles and am so happy for him. He has worked so hard to realize his dreams. He is such a high character kid that embodies what you preach as a coach! Butler is getting a special young man they will be proud of. Just really happy for him and his family. First class all the way around.”

Tate spent the summer playing on the adidas Gauntlet circuit with Upward Stars and on the HoopSeen platform at the Tip-Off where he was named to the 17U All-Tournament team.
