HoopSeen Tip-Off Spotlight: PJ Hall, Upward Stars

Talk to any coaching staff in college basketball and they’ll tell you finding a big man in the class of 2020 will be a crowded space in recruiting. This year’s depth of talent at the four and five positions isn’t particularly deep.

So when a player like PJ Hall of Roebuck (SC) Dorman comes around, it shouldn’t come as a big surprise that a list of suitors would be long and aggressive.

Hall said he holds offers from Presbyterian, Charleston, Wofford, North Florida, South Carolina, Winthrop, South Florida, Florida, Georgia, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Kansas State, Tennessee, Mercer, Marquette, Georgia Tech and Appalachian State.

He added that Virginia, Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, Marquette, Florida, South Florida and Georgia “have all been in to see me.” To date, Hall has visited South Carolina, Clemson, Florida, Tennessee and, Georgia - all unofficially.

Virginia, Purdue, UNC and Texas Tech have all shown various levels of interest, too.

Anchoring the middle for the balanced Upward Stars SE program, Hall will continue to be a focal point for high-majors and NCAA-level mid-major programs as we approach the NCAA Live Period.
