Mady Sissoko recruitment update from the Emerald Coast 16

Niceville, FL - The winners of the first Emerald Coast 16 Marquee bracket had a loaded squad, manned by defensive anchor Mady Sissoko. The shot blocking junior dominated throughout the week with his rebounding and rim protection. With Kansas sitting front row to see him and recently offered wing Tristan Enaruna, Sissoko provided HoopSeen with a list of schools that are involved.

"Theres been a couple of schools. Utah, BYU. UCLA called me last week. Kentucky called me two weeks ago. LSU called me too. So, they're all very interested, and I'm interested in them too."

Sissoko's play in events like Holiday Hoopsgiving and the Emerald Coast 16 has constantly kept his name in talks as a hot prospect for high major programs.

"Kansas is very interested in me right now, I took a visit to Colorado." Sissoko said after asking who's prioritizing him."It was good. I love how they play. It's a very good school."

With no current timeline for a commitment, Sissoko listed two programs as upcoming potential visits.

"Gonzaga, after christmas. Kansas is saying being patient. After the season I can visit whenever I want."

The junior forward has the tools necessary to be a key cog on the back line of a Power 5 program. Sissoko offered up this response when asked what he best brings to the table.

"I just want to rebound, run the floor and block shots. Help my team defensively. I'm trying to figure out my fifteen feet jumpshot. I'm working on that now. We will see what happens."
