Hunter Cattoor chooses Wofford

Wofford strikes gold again as Team M.O.A.M guard Hunter Cattoor ended his recruitment with a commitment after his official visit. The 6-3 combo guard spoke with our HoopSeen staff to provide insight into how relationships played a huge part in his decision.

“The biggest thing for me was just the relationship with the coaching staff and the players. I was comfortable on the visit and I just felt like it was the best place for me to develop as both a person and a player.

Zac Ervin was Wofford’s first commitment this season, given the Terriers another strong piece to add to the future backcourt. The commitment didn’t go unnoticed by Cattoor.

“A big part of going to a college is knowing who they’re bringing in because the next four years you're going to be around those people. I met Zac(Ervin) on the Belmont visit, we went up the same weekend there and we just made a good connection. We’ve been texting back and forth. “

Team M.O.A.M has a history with Wofford as senior guard Fletcher Magee was one of their former standouts.

“Being able to work out with Fletcher(Magee) and hearing him talk about the program meant a lot”

Hunter was one of the most talked about amongst out HoopSeen staff, earning the label of a top performer at both our Atlanta Jam and Best of the South. When asked who was his close second, the talented combo guard was complimentary.

“Furman and Belmont, my other two visits. I really like those places. There’s nothing negative to say about either one of them. I just felt like the best place for me was at Wofford. “
