Middle Tennessee State lands pledge from Tye Fagan

Over the past year, there hasn't been a more popular guard prospect in the Peach State than 2018 Thomaston (GA) Upson-Lee guard Tye Fagan

From an undefeated record and state championship in the high school season to an impressive travel season, Fagan was impressive every step of the way. He caught the eyes of many coaches, scouts, and fans as he wrote a noteworthy chapter in his career story.

Throughout all of the success, one school witnessed it all: Middle Tennessee State. Fagan returned the favor and announced his commitment to the Blue Raiders on Tuesday.

Blue Raiders head coach Kermit Davis and assistant coach Ronnie Hamilton tracked him closely, beginning at the Atlanta Jam in April. Fagan was the first prospect Davis watched to open the 2017 evaluation periods and that set the tone throughout his recruitment.

What is Middle Tennessee State getting in Fagan?

One of the best scoring guards in the South. The 6-foot-2 guard has proven on numerous stages that he has the ability to score the basketball in a variety of ways. With the ability to play both guard spots, he brings a sense of toughness and a winning attitude to the floor. Fagan proved himself as one of the best mid-major guard prospects in the country.

Fagan chose Middle Tennessee State over scholarship offers from Arkansas State, College of Charleston, Georgia, and South Florida.

Fagan is regarded as the No. 11 overall prospect in our Georgia state rankings. He joins fellow Georgia native K.J. Buffon, ranked No. 10, in the Blue Raiders 2018 recruiting cycle.

Middle Tennessee State will also host Discovery (GA) power forward Kalu Ezipke for an official visit in early October.
