Usher ready to Fight On in Pac-12
Marietta (GA) Wheeler wing Jordan Usher is off the recruiting board. The 6-foot-5 hard-playing prospect is headed to Southern Cal.
Usher made his official visit to the Pac-12 school in August and came away impressed with what he saw in Los Angeles.
“When I went to USC on my official it just felt like home and it just felt like that was the school I was suppose to be at,” Usher said.
The Canton, Georgia native took an official visit to Yale over the weekend and had a trip planned for Arizona State later in the month. The relationship built during the recruiting process
“Coach (Andy) Enfield and the staff prioritized me and have a plan for me that allows me to come in and make an immediate impact,” Usher said.
Enfield and his staff have recruited nationally very well and have proven they will go to any corner of the country to find a player. Usher brings intensity to the rotation and size at the position that should be well utilized on the defensive end of the floor.
“I am excited to bring my energy and hard play to the Trojans,” Usher said. “I feel like my style of play will thrive in the Pac-12. I feel like with the staff and opportunity in front of me, USC is the school that will allow me to shine at the next level.”
Usher is the No. 101 ranked player in the class of 2017. He is the first player to commit to the Trojans in the class of 2017.
