Behind the Seen: The skinny on the best of the availables

In recruiting, things happen in waves. One player commits and the dominoes tip, forcing a parade of decisions to follow. Here's a quick snapshot at the top players at each position that are still uncommitted in Georgia's 2014 prospect pool.

PG Keith Pinckney, Miller Grove
THE SKINNY: I wouldn't be surprised if Pinckney waits until the spring to sign. That's just my gut. A number of schools have been in to see him at Miller Grove over the last 10 days but as of right now, Pinckney doesn't have a leader or any trips on his calendar.
SCHOOLS INVOLVED: Boston, Georgia Southern, Harvard, Lehigh, Western Kentucky
VISITS SET: None yet.
There are ZERO point guards committed to schools in Georgia's 2014 class.

SG Ahmed Hill, Aquinas
THE SKINNY: What's really happening with his recruitment? I get that question at least once a day. After back-to-back visits from Missouri and Marquette, it looks like the race could be between those two programs. Two things to consider: Buzz Williams has been recruiting him personally longer than any coach involved. Missouri has a commitment from Hill's friend and travel teammate Jakeenan Gant. The two have said they want to play together. According to our sources, Louisville may be prepared to turn the heat up on the Augusta area star. But as of right now, it may be too late. Nevertheless, a lot to chew on.
SCHOOLS INVOLVED: Florida, Florida State, Marquette, Missouri
VISITS SET: Missouri (Nov. 1)
There are TWO shooting guards committed to schools in Georgia's 2014 class.

SF Eric Lockett, Whitefield Academy
THE SKINNY: His recruitment is as simple as it gets. He has four schools on the list. He's met with all four schools. He will eventually visit these four schools and ultimately make a decision. Now, which one wins out? Well, that's a tough question. The gut is this: How will he connect with the team on the visit? That could be the ultimate factor.
SCHOOLS INVOLVED: George Mason, Middle Tennessee State, Southern Miss, Western Kentucky
VISITS SET: Western Kentucky (Sept. 21), George Mason (Sept. 28), Southern Miss (Oct. 4)
There are TWO small forwards committed to schools in Georgia's 2014 class.

PF Chris Cokley, Savannah
THE SKINNY: Once considered a strong lean to Ole Miss, the 6-foot-7 power forward is back on the recruiting radar and schools have taken notice. LSU and Georgia have recently made entry-level inquiries with the athletic big man. He's taken an official visit to Georgia Southern already.
SCHOOLS INVOLVED: Georgia Southern, Marshall, Jacksonville, Savannah State
VISITS SET: None
There are SIX power forwards committed to schools in Georgia's 2014 class.

C Tim Rowe, Berkmar
THE SKINNY: Injuries kept the 6-foot-10 big man out of the spotlight this summer so the upcoming high school season could prove to be his real opportunity to step up and shine. A number of schools have come in to see him this fall but his decision could go into the late signing period.
SCHOOLS INVOLVED: George Mason, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Western Michigan, Wichita State
VISITS SET: None yet.
There are TWO centers committed to schools in Georgia's 2014 class.
