2019 North Carolina HoopSeen Fall Preview Top performers: Part IV

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Our HoopSeen Fall Preview took to the road and 80 players filled up the gorgeous Levine Center at Queens University on Sunday for a full day of action on the hardwood. We came away impressed with the field and a number of players stood out with their play. Here is the fourth round of top performers from the event.

One word describes McKinney’s game over the day. Producer. He is not flashy and doesn’t jump out as extremely athletic but what McKinney does is stuff the stat sheet. He is a consistent shooter from the outside coupled with a high basketball IQ. He makes winning plays and does it the old-fashioned way. He made a lot of shots from the outside over the course of the three-game set-up. He did a great job of not turning the ball over and making smart plays. His recruitment consists of some Division Two schools along with some low-major Division One schools being involved. - Justin Byerly

The 6-foot-3 sophomore was an eye-catching guard because of his explosiveness en route to the rim. He shined when he left the floor and used his great vertical athletic ability for offensive rebounds, dunks and blocked shots. He was one of the best rebounding guards in the entire camp and one of the fastest from end to end. We loved how hard he wanted to defend multiple positions. Scott played much bigger than his size throughout the entire camp. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him really take his game to the next level this high school season.

The long and lean wing was one of the best slashers in the camp. He did a great job as a rim runner and made it difficult for defenders who were matched up with him. Taylor can cover a lot of ground and go from the wing to the rim in a couple of dribbles. He’s a slasher supreme and showed that is not afraid to play in the paint. That was evident by a couple of athletic plays at and above the rim. He hit a couple of three-pointers, rising up and over the defenses.

Shaylen Woodberry, 2020, Mount Tabor, SG, 6-2: The smooth lefty played with great court awareness throughout the camp. He has really nice vision and passes very well. Woodberry did a terrific job of causing problems on the defensive end of the floor and denied passes and covered his man hard on defense. He worked hard for rebounds and guarded bigger guys. Never one to force anything, Woodberry played within his strengths. He shoots it well and his a high arching shot. Overall, it was a nice day of work for Woodberry. - Justin Young
